This is not true, the original Bondi Blue iMac G3 ran 8.1.

Only shipped with 8.1 for a couple of months though.

Windows 95 days), the PC manufacturer put a label on the PC when it was
built and that is the license for the machine, as well as the ID key to
install it with. So if you have a PC with a Windows 2000 label, you're
legal to grab a Windows 2000 CD and install it back on the system.

This is about the only way you could do that:

That, or install Debian 68k and try to run PearPC, but that's beyond the
scope of this e-mail list...

I had one new back in 1994, the OS (7.1.2P) did in fact come on a

made between 1998 and 2008 and test it out.

WTB keyboard/numeric keypad cables, boot floppy and original power cord

2011-12-08 Thread Grayson Williams

Hi all,

I posted a WTB: to the LEM swap list but no reply. I'm trying to
resurrect my original M0001 Macintosh, and I was wondering if anyone
here had two telephone-style keyboard/numeric keypad connectors, an
original right-angle power cord and a 400k boot floppy (prefer System
1.0, but my Mac will take up to System 3.2) they'd be willing to sell
me, shipped to 85086.

Thanks a lot!
