Bit off more than I can chew, mint condition apple IIgs, limitededition, signed by Woz
Found this at a garage sale in box with manuals, twin file boxes with many Apple II games and other software, both 3.1 and 5.25 floppies, also with 5.25 and 3.1 drives in boxes with dust covers. Don't know its value, but everything runs, also has System Saver, IIgs in a separate box. Everything works. Has RGB monitor also in mint condition. I just don't have the patience for this older apple computer. I'm sure someone else does. Before I offer to LEM swap or ebay, thought I'd offer it here. I really don't know its value or how much to ask fo r it. David Price Oklahoma City -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Apple //e, //c
A university unloaded a bunch of old Apple monitors, floppy drives, modems at a computer training school for them to work on, and I inherited everything as the students were only interested in working on PC's. Found an Apple //e and //c with no power cord, but internally look fine and a 9 Apple monitor that works. There is an Apple monitor /// that comes on as well, but I have no way of testing them yet. What do I need to get the computers running? Can any monitor work with them? I couldn't find anything on LEM about them, nor at Apple specs. Any information would be appreciated. dprice -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Re: Initializing an internal SCSI hard drive
Can someone please tell me how to do this? I just bought a 800mg Quantum hard drive for an Apple IIsi, and I can't get the computer to recognize it. I keep getting the message that the HD is locked. Thanks a million. DP Search and download Lido 7.56 formatter. This may unlock the drive, unless it's formatted with an exotic drive-initializing program. Jeff Finally got hard drive working. Used disc tools to initialize it. Thanks for the help. David -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Re: IIsi still having problems
Going to GCC's site http://www.gcctech.com/ doesn't give us any printers that have a SCSI interface. USB, TCP/IP, serial, parallel, localtalk, but no SCSI. I suspect that we need a serial connection here. Model name would help as GCC doesn't list by number. Elite 12? Elite 21? Elite XL21? Jim Model name is: PLP-II, v 4.1 I will get the user manual tomorrow. David P -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and...
