Re: Sirius XM app
On my iPhone, with the new version of the XM app, you can't flick left and right for the categories. They are in a vertical row on the center of the screen--I have to doouble-tap one. If not all the categories are showing, do a three-finger flick-up for the next page. - Original Message - From: Juliette Swiler To: viphone@googlegroups.com Cc: Juliette Swiler Sent: Friday, May 22, 2015 11:18 PM Subject: Sirius XM app So I finally thought I was really getting used to the new SiriusXM app with VoiceOver. However, within the past few days, when I tap channels, and try to flick left and right through the categories, VoiceOver loses focus. Also, if I click the button next to a channel, to ad it to favorites, the app crashes. Any thoughts or workarounds? Thanks. -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. All new members to the this list are moderated by default. Disabling Unread Messages Badge Count in Gmail App

Re: Disabling Unread Messages Badge Count in Gmail App
Oh, okay. You can have the badge on or off, again in Notification Settings. Even though it has a badge, it may not be refreshing in the background, which seems to be the heart of your question (why would it be refreshing if you don't want it to?) When you open the app, it refreshes. If you close it with 3 messages left unread, it will know it has 3 unread messages. If it updates that badge later even though you haven't opened it, that's another matter, and I'd go to the app itself and see if there are settings in there. Apps should honor the iOS settings, but maybe this one isn't doing so for some reason? Radium isn't working on my iPhone 5C.
Hi. I was going to listen to a hockey game on Radium. I used this app with no problem on my old iPhone 4. I brought up the app on my 5C, and whenever I attempted to tap on the skip tutorial option I was sent to my home screen. Anyone else having this problem? Thankfully I have another app that I can use to listen to the NHL playoffs. Kevin Minor, Lexington, KY -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. Can an iPod use Cell Network for Internet, Email, and Downloading
Hello! Are some iPods equipped to use the cell network for Internet? An acquaintance of mine with multiple disabilities including coordination can't afford DSL or cable Internet for WIFI. I am looking into other solutions. Would an iPhone work better for using a cell plan for email and Internet? This person has cell phone service for another type of phone that is easier to use for phone calls and messages for her. But she can do flicks, double taps, and could learn other iOS gestures. She could also get on a friend's family plan for cell service and could afford that. I am thinking that an older model cell phone (5C or 5S) might be the most affordable. But an iPod might work as a solution if the iPod can use the cell network. Thanks for your thoughts. RE: Can an iPod use Cell Network for Internet, Email, and Downloading
I don’t think IPods have sim cards. From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Terrie Terlau Sent: Sunday, May 24, 2015 6:24 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Can an iPod use Cell Network for Internet, Email, and Downloading Hello! Difficulty In Setting up IPhone6Plus
Hi, list. I am trying to setup a brand new IPhone 6 Plus but am having problem with it. When I tried to restore from the backup, ITune told me that I could not do that because the software is too old. Then ITune updated IOS from 8.1 to a higher version. Then the phone started and is sitting on the opening screen. I can not go past Information button. The prompt is in a bunch of languages. It also says Slide To Set up but I can neither click the Information button nor slide to setup because Voiceover is not accepting commands/gestures. Your help is much appreciated. Re: Can an iPod use Cell Network for Internet, Email, and Downloading
Hi Terrie, Unfortunately, an IPod Touch cannot use a cellular network, only Wi-Fi. However, the IPhone 5 and 5S will continue to go down in price, as we get closer to the launch of newer IPhone models this fall. Help With iTunes
I have an iPhone 5s with the latest version of iTunes, running Windows xp. Does anyone know of any scripts for Jaws. I'd like to delete a bunch of files on my phone that I copied to it by mistake. I'd appreciate any help. Noe -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. All new members to the this list are moderated by default. honeywell thermostat question
Hi, all. Has anyone had experience with the new Honeywell thermostat. We just had one installed. It has voice recognition which isn't working well at the moment. It works with wifi and does have an app for the IPhone. However, I haven't been able to find how to create a log in. Basically, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience negative or positive with this one. Thanks. Sorry I'm being so vague, but I don't know enough to know what I need to know. The installer is coming back out this week to help us figure it out. God bless! Paula and Boston -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. Defender By Otterbox For IPhone 6-Plus?
Hi, list. I got my Iphone6 Plus this afternoon along with Defender Case by Otterbox. I noticed that the thick plastic on the screen is not flushed with the screen thus it does not accept light touch. I have to apply considerable pressure each time to get the job done. Is anyone else is experiencing this too? Thanks! -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
