Re: MBraille Suggestion, was Re: How many use VO Braille Screen Input?

2016-01-27 Thread Cheryl Lenartiene
Hi all,
I appreciate everyone's suggestions and ongoing detective work. I will try
locking the orientation to see if that makes a difference.
I seem to remember that one of the advantages of the Plus phones, as well as
the iPad, was that one could use Piano layout in landscape mode and still have
access to part of the screen, which would be useful in sending iMessages and
e-mails. In portrait orientation, the Piano layout takes up the full screen. I
was hoping to be able to take advantage of this feature in landscape at some
point, but for me, at least, there is a learning curve with the Piano layout,
and I have precious little time these days. I try to keep up with demands and
use whatever gets the job done in the most efficient manner at the moment.
I'll try to post in the next day or so with an update. Hopefully, others will
find it helpful.

I got the paid app on th apple tv 4th gen, and also the iphone app, and don't
see a way to get an account, and using the search function on either app
doesn't bind the stations I am looking for. Is there a website to sign up on

Hello everyone,

I wasn’t sure which list was best to ask this so I’m posting to both. Sorry for
the potential inconvenience. I was looking for suggestions for a radio
streaming app for the apple TV. Currently, I’m using the free version of My
Tuner radio. The app works just fine for my needs except for one thing. There
is no way I see to favorite stations. I have like 6 or 7 I would like to
favorite so I can switch between them quickly.

Any suggestions for apps that do this on the Apple TV 4th gen?

TIA.

Re: Using Bard with a BI40 Braille Display

Hello Anna. This worked for me. I have another question. What's the difference
between Quick Nav and single letter Quick Nav? Thanks so much.

AIPoly, FW: Thanks for the update ...

2016-01-27 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,

I wrote the AIPoly team after the last update and thanked them for the update
and made one suggestion. Right now, you can toggle AIPoly on or off in the
Object screen, but not in the Color screen. I asked that they add the on/off
button there as well.

This was their very quick response.

Hi Richard, thanks for the feedback! We'll add that in our to-do list for the
next updates.

Best regards

I have to say I am impressed with their responsiveness.

Hmmm, well I've e-mailed the developer, and will write the list if I hear

if the issue is specific to a given pack. That said, it's still a weird issue

Re: issues with purchasing photo packages in tap tap see?

2016-01-27 Thread Shermeen Khan
Oh ok thanks. So it seems that this is just an issue with the 50 and
100 picture pack. As far as I'm aware, those packs are not
time-sensitive, so that if you use tap tap see once or twice a month,
you won't run out of pictures for quite a while. I don't see why they
would no longer support this option.

Then select your game mode, either by selecting Classic or Challenge by double

Then select whether you want your opponent to be Friends or Random by double

Then double tap on the Play Now button.
The next screen should give you a search box where you type in a friends user
name. or if you keep flicking you will see your Facebook contacts so you can
choose one of them if you don’t want to search for someone. After you type in a

Creating e-mail folders?

2016-01-27 Thread Kim Samco
Hello,
Is it possible to create a rule on an iPhone 6 so that e-mail from a certain
sender will automatically go into it's own folder? For example, could I create
a VI phone folder where all VI phone messages would go into that folder and not
into my general in box? The account I'm thinking about is the one I'm using
now which is an IOS e-mail acct.

Thanks,

Kim

Re: trivia crack anyone?

2016-01-27 Thread MamaPeach
Yes, Trivia Crack Kingdoms is very similar to Trivia Crack, but different too.
In Trivia Crack Kingdoms, you no longer spin to determine the category for
which you are to answer a question. Here is a bit more information about Trivia
Crack Kingdoms:
Trivia Crack Kingdoms
In Trivia Crack Kingdoms, players have to collect 5 crowns before the opponent
to win the game. There are 9 boxes. Click on anyone and hope to find the king,
who is willing to give away a crown for a correct answer. There are other
options too which are quite interesting as well as annoying sometimes.
new game
Tap the "New Game" button on the dashboard and select the game language,
opponent and game mode. Select Multichannel to play in all your followed
channels, or Single channel to play in one of your choice. Tap "Play now".
Play in Single Channel mode to choose your favorite topic.
Try our signature Multichannel mode to answer questions from all your followed
channels.
Can't find what you're looking for?
Create your own channel in anything you can think of and start playing!
Begin Gameplay
A new game begins with nine unopened boxes, with a character hidden in each
box.
The objective of the game is to be the first to earn five crowns.
Tap on any box on the gameboard. Hidden inside will be one of ten characters,
each of which will require you to adopt a different strategy.
Answer anywhere from one to five questions, depending on which character was
revealed, to show off your smarts and win crowns!
PowerUps
PowerUps can be found in the gameboard and in the question itself. X-Ray and
Vaporize will help you discover what's hidden inside each box, while Bomb,
Extra time, Double chance and Skip will help you answer questions correctly.
End of the game
The gameboard gets renewed every time a player finds the King and gets a crown.
Be the first to get five crowns to win!
The characters In The Game Are:
King Alex
The king is very welcoming and generous with a big heart, and loves hosting
parties for everyone filled with fun and games. He's a humble person who is
always asking questions to learn about the world. King Alex is so generous that
if you answer 1 question correctly for him, he'll give you a crown!
Queen Melissa
Queen Melissa is the king's opposite. She isn't a people person like her
husband, but without her the kingdom would be in chaos. Wasting time is her
biggest pet peeve and her efficient ways keep the realm in perfect balance.
Prove you can be as efficient as her by answering 5 questions in 30 seconds and
she'll hand over a crown.
Cap'n Skägg
The Cap'n is always looking for something. Whether it's diamonds, the
newspaper, or his left shoe, you can be sure he has a treasure map to help him
find his way back to it. His loud, boisterous laugh can be heard every time he
uncovers another treasure. If you find him, be sure to answer his 3 questions
to get a share of his loot!
Haruki
Haruki is one of the greats in the ninja world. He can sneak up on even the
most observant of people, and his swordsmanship is without par. He's serene and
graceful, and can slice through a block of wood like butter. If you come across
him in your search, he will help you by slicing through two wrong answers.
Stéphang
A classy, refined gentleman with a touch of biting humor. His ideal evening
consists of curling up with a juicy romance novel that he can really sink his
teeth into, before heading off to a nice steak dinner. Answer his 3 questions
correctly and he'll help you steal a crown from your opponent!
Ukko
A very mysterious being, always gazing into his crystal ball, he knows things
that no one else can even imagine. Not much is known about him, people come to
him from far and wide to seek out his wisdom and insight. He prepares his
difficult and wise questions specifically for each person, so if you encounter
him get ready to be challenged.
Pik-Pak-Pok
Equipped with their pickax, this little trio is always finding a way to get
into trouble. Ask them what they're up to and you'll hear a grunt followed by 2
echoing grunts, each tinier than the last. You only need to answer correctly 2
out of the 3 questions they throw at you to continue your turn!
The Marks
The people of this kingdom are known collectively as The Marks. They wander the
realm searching for answers to their never-ending questions. Their origin is
unknown, but one day a large population of Marks showed up in the kingdom and
never left. They love to throw questions your way, 1 or 2 at a time, to see
just how much you know about the world!
The Guides
You'll recognize these familiar faces from the world of Trivia Crack! Al, Tina,
and Tito are here to help you search for the crowns in every nook and cranny of
the kingdom. Pay attention to what they point out; they know a thing or two
about the crown's location!

  hi,

I was able to listen to an archived audio feed in the NFL Mobile app.

2016-01-27 Thread Kevin Minor
Hi.

I was planning on lying down and getting some sleep, since I got very little
last night. Just for fun I decided to see if I could pull up the Cardinals
Panthers game that was played on Sunday. I did it! It's not as easy as it
used to be, but I did it with VoiceOver! What I did was to launch the app. I
knew something was different, because it asked me if I wanted notifications and
something else. After getting through that, the app loaded. The TABS on the
bottom are pretty close to what was there before, except Super Bowl is there
instead of Games. I selected that TAB and explored the screen. Here's where
things get interesting. If I remember, you can choose the week of the season
you want. Below these are the playoffs, the Pro Bowl and this year's Super
Bowl. Now, if I remember, below this is a list of all the past Super Bowls,
the scores of the games and the MVP of each game. I tried to double tap on a
past Super Bowl to see if I could get into settings for it, but I couldn't,
which means that either this information is just for show, or VoiceOver can't
access it. Then I went back to where you can choose a week from this season,
and I double tapped on the Conference Championship week. Now comes the fun. I
don't know if I wasn't waiting long enough or if you have to move around the
screen to find what you want, but it didn't work for me right away. Finally I
was able to find the game I wanted, in this case the Cardinals Panthers game.
I double tapped on it, and then things were as they used to be on the app. It
took a while for stuff to load, but I finally got to where I could choose the
Panthers audio feed. I double tapped on it, expecting that it wouldn't work,
but, as Gomer Pyle said, "SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!" The Glorious audio of
the Panthers' feed came blasting out of my iPhone.

I'm happy. I can finally hear the Panthers' announcers version of this great
game, and who knows, I might even tune into the Cardinals' feed to hear how it
sounded to them.

Just sharing. I hope others give it a try, and if you can figure out easier
ways to accomplish what I did, I'd really appreciate learning about them.

Have a great day, and don't work too hard.

Hi Paul,

Quick Nav is primarily useful with a Bluetooth keyboard. It lets you move
around without having to hold down the Command and Option keys. Single-letter
Quick Nav is useful with both a braille display and Bluetooth keyboard; it lets
you move around on web pages, for instance, by typing H to go to the next
heading and C to go to the next control.. There are quite a few elements by
which you can move using Single Letter Quick Nav. If you have eight-dot mode
on, you can add dot 7 to most of them to move to the previous element of that
type, such as H with dot 7 to move to the previous heading.

HTH,
Anna

Radio app suggestions for the 4th gen Apple TV.

2016-01-27 Thread Ricardo Walker

2016-01-27 Thread Woody Anna Dresner

HTH,
Anna

Re: MBraille Suggestion, was Re: How many use VO Braille Screen Input?

2016-01-27 Thread Gordan Radić

Hi!
I use MBraille since it was released and I'm also in the beta
testing team.
I tested the built-in keyboard some months ago when it was
introduced and I wasn't happy about it. It worked, than it didn't ,
than it again did and so on. Finally, I removed the keyboard from
Settings and continued to use it as before.
Yesterday I was reading here that keyboard has improoved and I
re-enabled it but aftera try or two I wasn't satisfied. First thing
to happen was the new message alert while I was typing the message.
It completely blocked the keyboard. After that I played a bit more
and noticed the almost same issues as it had before. If I dismiss it
i got the conversation without an edit field or if I switch keyboard
to Apples virtual there's no input text.
Regarding your problem, since I also use 6S Plus I can only
recommend to lock it in Portrait and to use fixed Away mode in
MBraille, this way you won't experience the split screens.
Regarding everything else, I went back to MBraille as an app, I use
copy paste with Home button and dot commands to achieve texts and
e-mails which is more or less enough for my needs. If I need a quick
reply to text or something from the lock screen I use VO Braille
Input and somehow I'm succeeding in writing something on iPhone xD.
P.S. You can't use MBraille KB from the lock screen, I tried it
yesterday and the MBraille is not in the Next Keyboard list while
there.

Also, ever since I upgraded from my

keyboard doesn't come out correctly. I use MBraille in Away

Braille keyboard lets you calibrate the dot positions, and
that's probably why I've had a lot more success using it.
Finally, the split screen view seems
to interfere with MBraille. For example, I hold the phone in
portrait orientation and double tap a text field to reply to an
iMessage. I then activate the MBraille keyboard and rotate the
phone to landscape mode, screen facing away from me. The
MBraille keyboard is dismissed, as the phone switches to the

First,
in the mBraille settings, try turning on tutor mode and make
sure you are hitting the right place on the screen for the
various dots.

Second,
The underscore means that you are essentially tapping with
three fingers instead of swiping.
I
tried really hard to duplicate what you are getting and the
only way I could is if I touched with three fingers and
lifted up as opposed to swiping with three fingers.
I
don’t know how to describe the difference exactly.  I think
of it as a glancing blow, or like I’m swiping crumbs off a
table.  I’ve never had any problems at all doing the gesture
to dismiss the keyboard.  I use an iPhone 6 and a 5s and
have never gotten an underscore accidentally.
I
have not had access to a 6s plus.  I didn’t know it had the
split screen view like iPads.

Can
you get it in the split screen view and then select the
mBraille keyboard?  Then, maybe it would look for a smaller
portion of the screen for the dots?
That
is just a wild guess.

The developer, Harry Pasaman, is also on the list and is very much in touch. BTW, I probably spelled Harry's name incorrectly.) If you are an avid Braille user I encourage you to continue working with the app.
God bless!
Paula and Boston

Wow! I am so glad your MBraille experience is different to mine. I bought it before iOS braille was introduced and as a standalone app it works well and does have more editing features than iOS braille, but as a third-party keyboard, it is the buggiest program I have purchased. There is absolutely no support from the author at all.

For me the three finger swipe right to dismiss the MBraille keyboard never works. This is replicatable 100 percent of the time. Seriously, if your intrested in braille, learn to use the iOS keyboard and don't waist your money on purchasing bugs. I have received better support from apps that were free.

Cheers, Brett.

keep seeing a lot of flack on the mBraille list about how flaky some

I already had MBraille before the Apple Braille keyboard was released,
so I have not taken the time to learn to use the Apple keyboard very well. I find it to be not quite as refined as is MBraille, although that very well could be due to operator
incompetence. Also, it does not have the word processing ability of MBraille. If I want to edit anything, I have to use the
regular Apple keyboard editing features, which are not as easy for me to use as those in MBraille.

A few months ago, I purchased the option to use MBraille as a
third-party keyboard. At the time, it didn't seem to work very well
for me as a third-party keyboard, so I forgot about it until last
weekend when, for some reason which I do not remember now, I decided
to try it again. I deleted that emogey keyboard which I never used,
and enabled MBraille as a third-party keyboard. It works well. Now,
when I am in a text field, I can tap the next keyboard button, and
although the transition to MBraille is occasionally a bit flakey, more often than not, it goes right into MBraille. I write my text, am enable to correct any errors or do any word processing I wish to do with MBraille. Then, I Place my fingers onto the keyboard as if I were going to write dots 4-5-6, and do a three-finger swipe right
