iPhone battery status with ios10.21

2017-01-25 Thread shuang . angel
Hi all

Since I've updated to the latest iOS software, 10.21, a fully charge 100%
battery will only last for around 7 hours with moderate use. Usually with the
same usage, it can last up to a day or a day and the half at times.
Can i know, if anyone else having this issue?

Thanks

RE: iPhone battery status with ios10.21

2017-01-25 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Did you prepare for the update by emptying your app switcher and doing at
least a reboot of the phone or, even better, a Reset Network Settings?
At this point the Reset Network Settings is what I would do first (after you
empty your app switcher). It is in Settings > General > Reset. This may fix
your issue or it may not, but it's the best thing to do first.
After you do this you will have to reconnect to your WiFi and, if your phone is
called anything other than "iPhone", go to Settings > General > About and
rename it again as the reset will also reset the name to just "iPhone".

Sieghard

Also, I suspect that whatever page is set as her default page in Safari may be
invalid; maybe just clearing the history in Safari will be enough to stop this.
If I'm correct, she should be able to enter google.com into Safari's address
field, and then it should bring up the google page.

The three of three wifi bars means there is nothing wrong with the wifi
connection, there is something wrong with the internet connection itself. She
can go into wifi, either through settings, wifi, or the control panel, and turn
wifi off, so she can connect to the internet over her cellular connection,
being careful not to go over her data limit. As for figuring out what is wrong
with her internet connection, if she still has a wired phone, have her call her
ISP and, with her permission, they can log into her modem and router and
probably get it straightened out.

depositing a check

2017-01-25 Thread Andrew J. LaPointe
Hi, I am using my local credit union app for checking my checking account,
bill pay ect. There is a deposit feature which you need to align the check.
So far, I need my son to align the check. It seems that I need to triple click
to shut voice over off. Is there a trick to this? I have a stand scan but,
according to my son, it holds the check too high. If I can work this part of
the deposit feature with my iPhone, the rest is easy. I have to add the check
amount, which is no problem,...I am wondering if there is a trick here. I do
have sighted assistance here but, not enough patience on their part. Andy and

RE: depositing a check

2017-01-25 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
If according to your sighted help the Standscan isn't high enough there isn't
much you can do excpet try to learn how to do it freehand, but cheques are
tricky since they do have to be lined up pretty good. You could also try to
make your own stand, you would have to have a patient sighted person who can
try how high the phone needs to be and then help you make a stand out of a box
which would work.

strange change in facebook accessibility of reacting posts

2017-01-25 Thread Davy Cuppens
Hi folks

FB changed its way how to open a thread to react on it.
When opening a thread you nolonger get the sound that something is opening.
Moreover, when you sweep to the right, you stay in your newsfeed of messages
and not in that opened thread. At first I thougt fb is nolonger accessible
while you can nolonger open threads by doubleclicking them.
However, I noticed then that when you open a posting, you can nolonger sweep to
find the options and reactions but you have to tick once with a finger
somewhere on the screen and after performing this sweeping to the right does
the trick en you can nanage, like or reply in that thread.
Who can confirm this change? I use the latest fb update with ios10.2.1 Iphone
5S 64 gb.

Text forwarding

2017-01-25 Thread Jennie Facer
Hi all,

I have a friend that is trying to activate text forwarding with her SE and 5S.
On the SE, the 5S is showing as one of the devices but the 5S won't give her
the code necessary to activate. She is on the same icloud account as well as
the same Facetime. In her 5S settings under send and recieve, her phone number
is dimmed. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jenn

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, does anyone know if either of these Apps are
accessible?

If so, just how accessible are they?
And how well do they work with the Apple TV, or Ipad?

Thank you,

a text messaging question

2017-01-25 Thread Jed Barton

Hey guys,

OK, a very strange issue is happening. I just got my new iphone 7. I
brought everything in to it with icloud, it went just fine. It even
brought over my text messages. So, i knew several people had sent me
text messages, so i go to messages, and i do a search, and after i type
in the name i hit the center of the screen, and it usually comes up. I
tried it 4 different times, and nothing. However, when i swipe over to
their message, it's there. Why wouldn't it come up in the search. Any
ideas?

the ringer and vibration

2017-01-25 Thread Jed Barton

Hey guys,

OK, i just got my iphone 7, and i was having the same issue on my 6.
here's the deal. When i flip the switch on the side of the phone, and
someone calls me, it'll either vibrate, or in some cases not even
vibrate at all.
So when i called myself the 1st time, it did 2 quick pulses, and
stopped. The next 2 times, it didn't vibrate at all. What am i missing
here. Vibrate on ring is on. Anything else i should do?

Re: the ringer and vibration

2017-01-25 Thread Shai
Go to settings/sound and confirm that vibrate on silent is also on.
Then try flipping the switch on the side of the phone to vibrate and
see if it works as it should. If not, try toggling speech off with a
three finger double tap and see if the vibrate works correctly then.
For me, this seems to work you could then turn speech on again with a
three finger double tap to see who is calling you.
Hope this helps

Best to read the app store description of Voice Dream Reader, here is the link:

While the description gives a lot more information about other aspects of the

- Web articles.
- DRM-free EPUB eBooks.*
