Re: amazon music

2017-07-10 Thread Kathy Brandt
I just checked: on both of my devices I can play what I have purchased. On the
ipod, in settings I had to turn on stream over wifi. On my iPhone, since I
hadn't been in the app I guess for a while, it said, content not available, and
then wouldn't show me anything else: I uninstalled and reinstalled it, signed
in, and my music played.

The only problem of swords that I have, is that in settings it says that I have
more devices registered then what I ever put on Amazon music. When I called
Amazon about this, I got them to the register all my devices, so was very
surprised that on my end, it added another new one. The rep is shores me that
on her and it shows I have eight slots available. I hope things will resolve
themselves on my end to say the same thing.

I just checked, and I still can play the music I bought. When you first start
the app, there should be four tabs along the bottom, browse, recent, my music,

Well, since the public beta has been released to the public, and I offer some
tech support, I have gotten a lot of questions about it. So I created a list

least 1 beta to join this list. Info is below.

Are you testing an apple beta? want to discuss bugs with other testers? Then
come join a friendly, helpful, laid back community where we can squash these
bugs together, and report them to apple. Subscribe here

Because of the non disclosure agreement, I have to say if your not a beta

iOS 11: Document Scanner in the Notes app

2017-07-10 Thread Chris Smart
Apparently, according to an article on CNET, the Notes app in iOS 11
now includes a document scanner. I have no idea if this includes any
OCR features, or if it just snaps a picture, but it will also
apparently let you save the scan as a PDF, and share it with people.
might be useful.

Re: Can someone give me some advice about how to restore text message forwarding between my I-devices please?

2017-07-10 Thread Brett C.
First go to your phone’s settings and make sure handoff is on in the general
settings. Next, go to the message settings and look for message forwarding.
Here you can enable and disable the devices you want text messages from your
phone forwarded.

Seing Eye GPS has User Points of Interest option that is supposed to work
exactly like regular Points of Interests. I’ve personally not tried it yet but
based on the description it should be pretty cool.

Presuming the route from their apartment to the mailbox is outside, BlindSquare
could mark the mailbox as a place, then give information about distance and
direction if that was tracking was turned on. It would say things like,
Mailbox 800 feet at 10 o’clock.

Seeing Eye GPS recently added waypoints. I have not tried them, but I gather
if you walk a route it will mark your turns and you could make the mailbox a
favorite.

I cannot remember the name of the app that is primarily designed to track the
path you walk and allow you to retrace it. Is it MyWay classic?

There are probably others.

Blind Square is not strictly speaking a GPS app. It does not do turn-by-turn
directions.

But, once you find the point of interest you want, Blind Square can launch
Google maps, Apple Maps, or several paid GPS apps.

If all you want is the turn-by-turn directions, Google Maps does a fine job.

Re: Question About OoTunes App

2017-07-10 Thread Scott Davert
I'm able to stream Digitally Imported from here in NC, but haven't
tried many other electronic music stations on OOTunes. You can't get
the premium streams to play with OOTunes, but the free ones should. I
also didn't have this issue when I did own a second gen stream, though
I did notice that streams would buffer on the VR stream when they
wouldn't using the iPhone on the same connection.

Can someone give me some advice about how to restore text message forwarding between my I-devices please?

2017-07-10 Thread 'Eleanor Roberts' via VIPhone
Hi all

Sorry for the cross-post, but I'm in quite significant need of help on this
one. I received a very dodgy message this morning saying that my Apple ID had
been temporarily suspended, and to sort it out I should log into the link given
in the message. I was fairly certain that the message was definitely fake, as
the spelling/English in it was absolutely atrocious. Nevertheless, I decided to
completely reset my password etc etc just to be sure. I've done this, but
despite best efforts (resetting the devices etc etc) I can't now get my text
message forwarding to work for either my IPad or my Mac. So, if anyone has any
help/suggestions/instructions on how I can go about restoring this I really
would be most grateful. For example, do I need to go into anything on my Mac to
make sure that all my devices are synced or named correctly so that they can
all communicate to each other properly.

I really don't know, and am desperately scrambling around for ideas as am
stumped. So, as I said, any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

Eleanor

Re: I heart radio

2017-07-10 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hi Adrian. Are you using the Canadian iHeartRadio app? If so, it's not really
accessible. You'd have better luck playing the streams on a computer. I think
every Canadian using this app with a visual impairment should send them a tweet
asking for the app to be accessible. Their handle is @iheartradioca.
