the left over iphone SE stock

2018-10-10 Thread Mike Arrigo
I was at the local Apple store getting a couple of new macs and I asked them
what they did with the iphone SE phones that were still in stock. Apparently
they do not sell them once Apple decides to discontinue a product, they send
their left over inventory back to Apple and they are not sure what Apple does
with them from there, perhaps uses them for repair parts. I know some of us
were wondering about that a while back so I thought I would ask while I was
there.

Questions re copying text messages

2018-10-10 Thread Donald Roberts
I should mention that my iPhone 6 is running IOS 12.0.1. A family member
sometimes sends me several text messages within the span of a few minutes. Is
there any way to copy the entire thread at once rather than copying messages
one at a time?

How do I copy only a portion of a message to the clipboard?

Lastly, do I need to have a particular setting in the rotor to accomplish text
message copying and moving?

Thanks.

Re: QBraille and voiceover

2018-10-10 Thread Mary Otten
I suppose that whether this device is too bulky to carry with your phone
depends on your tolerance for such things. It is a 40 cell display. It does
come with a very nice case, and you can use the device while the case is on.
And the case is not Velcro, which means it doesn’t have that annoying Velcro
sound when you open and close it in a meeting.
It is certainly not compact, because it is a 40 cell display. It also feels
rather solid, perhaps heavy for its size. I like that. I don’t carry a purse. I
carry a backpack. So I would not have a problem throwing that in my backpack. I
haven’t seen the displays from freedom scientific. I have seen the braille
edge. The braille and doesn’t feel as solid, and of course it is also 40 cells.
If you don’t like the four factor of the edge, then I suppose this won’t work
for either, although it is thinner and just feels all around more solid. I
don’t know if that helped any.

Re: Grouping Contacts?

2018-10-10 Thread Richard Turner
Well, you could get an app like ABC groups that allow you to create email or
text groups that you can name.
Or put the category in the company field and then search by that field to get
them all listed together, but they will still be separate apps.

Good afternoon all.

Trying to figure out what I think could be a complex trigger/script.

This is what I am needing it to do.

When a player hands me a random item. Lets say a sword.

They have 2 options to have me enchant it.

1. They can say damroll sword, staff what ever.

2. they can say magicroll sword etc.

If I am afk, and they want to do this, how can they hand me said item, I
enchant it and hand it back?

Yes, we are allowed to bot with these kinds of scripts.

Its not helping us by giving xp or anything.

The second part of this question is with enchanting armor.

Player says enchant item.

I would first enchant it, then cast like 4 other protection spells like
coldproof, acidproof etc.

Then hand it back to the same player.

I guess I am not sure of the wild cards or something that might work in
this.

Any tips or examples would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Bard Mobile and the locked screen

2018-10-10 Thread englishrider91
That's odd. When I upgraded to iOS 12, my setting for playing in the background
stayed on. In any case, I'm glad things are working for you now.

Thanks,

Hey, Geremy, I think you accidentally sent your email to the wrong group. It
sounds like you're talking about scripts for a MUD client. Did you perhaps mean
to send this to the Blind Gamers email list?

Thanks,

Additional info on voiceover and Q braille with a Mac

2018-10-10 Thread Mary Otten
Earlier, I sent a note about this display and how it was not working in hybrid
mode with voiceover on an iPhone. The same is true for the Mac. I spoke with a
representative from hims, who said that this functionality is coming. He
couldn’t say when. But as of now, hybrid mode on the Mac or an eye device is
not working right. So you have to use the queue braille as though it were a
braille edge both for its display functionality and also for controlling the
Mac or iPhone. In other words, you have to know all those crazy braille key
commands.

QBraille and voiceover

2018-10-10 Thread Mary Otten
Hi all,
I have had in my possession for the past few days, a Q braille display from
Hims. This is the one that has the braille key entry but also has the usual
complement of arrows and control et Cetera keys like a regular keyboard would
have. The idea is supposed to be that you can operate this device in hybrid
mode, making a connection for the display and another one for the keyboard, so
that you don’t have the learning curve that is associated with using braille
display and a phone or PC or Mac. Unfortunately, and this is not stated
anywhere in the manual, the VO keys have not been fully implemented. So hybrid
mode on the phone is a waste of time at this point. I’m not sure about the Mac,
since I did not try it there. It’s a very nice device. But it’s not ready for
prime time if you think you’re going to be able to use it with a phone in
hybrid mode. The big problem is that in order to use VO keys effectively, you
either need to be in quick nav mode, or you need to have a whole lot of
fingers, since you need to do the vo keys plus letters. So the absence of quick
nav mode is a real problem. A few VO things do work, such as vo plus a to read
from cursor to bottom of document, or vo plus Que to go into keyboard help.

 All,
I recently obtained an active subscription to BARD and have a quick
question. I was able to download a book to my iPHone using the app and so
far all is well. When I am done reading the book do I check the book back
in or simply delete the book? I see that if I swipe up on the book there
is an option to delete it from my bookshelf, but I am not seeing a
check-in option. I would hate to lose borrowing privileges because I am
 not returning books.
 Thanks in advance,

trigger help

2018-10-10 Thread Jeremy Gilley

You have to turn the digital crown to add contacts, then your contact whom you
add is supposed to agree to use it and so on, but it doesn't always seem to
work. Anyhow, it's more of a toy than something really useful you would use
every day, at least that is how I feel about it.

Re: Problem With Bank Of America

2018-10-10 Thread David Redman
I found a work around four this problem today. If you go into the alerts just
after you login you will be able to find one of your recent transactions. It
doesn’t give you the full description but if you double tap on that you should
be able to get your list of recent transactions. This work for me this morning.
The alert screen does have some issues as well so you’ll have to swipe right
and left till you find one of the transactions.

RE: New to BARD Mobile and have a question

2018-10-10 Thread Richard Turner
You can keep books as long as you want. If you delete it and decide at a later
time to read it again, you can simply download it again.
Unlike the public libraries, BARD is not limited to one digital copy being used
at a time. As many people who want to read a particular book, can download it.

Happy reading,
Richard

All,
I recently obtained an active subscription to BARD and have a quick question.
I was able to download a book to my iPHone using the app and so far all is
well. When I am done reading the book do I check the book back in or simply
delete the book? I see that if I swipe up on the book there is an option to
delete it from my bookshelf, but I am not seeing a check-in option. I would
hate to lose borrowing privileges because I am not returning books.
Thanks in advance,

With BARD, you're not borrowing books, just downloading them, and that's what
it was designed for. Since there is no physical media to return, all you have
to do is delete the book, and go on to the next book, or books.

get the walkie-talkie sound then I can talk then I double tap with one finger
