RE: How is grub hub

2019-07-19 Thread Debby
Hi All,

I actually have pretty good luck with the Grubhub app. Now I have to admit that
I don't look around much at other restaurants because I have a few of my
favorite things already ordered, and I just go to my orders and get them again.
I do find it a bit sluggish on my IPad Air 2, but sometimes I think that is
operator error.

I think once you order something, there is a space for a comment. It does say
that if you make special requests that you might have to pay more. For my
Chinese food I have put in a special notote that says "no msg please," and it
seems to work.

As far as timeliness, that probably depends on where you live. I live in the
Washington DC suburbs, and delivery is good. In fact I get delivery from a
couple of restaurants in 15 to 20 minutes after my order is placed.

The first time I tried the Doordash app on my phone I had to give it up and go
to Grubhub. It turns out that the button to go to your order is not labeled.
When you are new to the app that is a bit disconcerting. You find it by swiping
past all of the things on the bottom bar and then you will hear "button." That
should be your orders.

Take care and have fun!

Debby

It’s clunky, have to weed through a lot to get from one restaurant to the next,
but as of a few weeks ago, could still use it.

Overall think I’d prefer DoorDash. My main complaint with all of these is that
you have to pick a salad, say, even if you don’t want one, without any place to
put that you don’t want one. For various IHOP meals you have to get hashbrowns,
or at red lobster with a lobster roll, you can’t say that you’d rather have
broccoli instead of fries.

Hello,
Once you are in your inbox on the mail app there is an edit button in the top
right corner of the screen. If you activate this button you can then select
each message by double tapping on it. Once you have all the ones you want
selected, there is a trash button in the bottom left of the screen. Double tap
this button and all the messages you selected will be sent to the trash.

Hello,
I am not sure on that one. My guess is that it is close to what a sighted

Apple Cash Question Please.

2019-07-19 Thread janet gross
Hi Everyone,
I want to send someone a check through a text message, and they want to put it
in their bank account. Can I use Apple Cash to do this, and if so, can some
kind soul please tell me how I can do this, as I don't have Apple cash set up
on my phone I have only Apple Pay set up?
Is Apple Cash sent only through iMessaging?
I'm thinking the other person who I will send a check to, have to have Apple
Cash set up on their phone as well? What will they have to do to add my check
to their checking account?
Using a XR iPhone iOS 12.3.1.
Thank you all in advance.

Peace Be With You.

Re: Apple Cash Question Please.

2019-07-19 Thread Nimer Jaber
Hello,

You cannot send a check using Apple cash. You can send a check by using
your bank and having them issue a check to the person, and then mail it for
you. Or you can write one and send it yourself. You can make an ACH payment
through your bank with Paypal, if you first add your bank and confirm it.
Or you can use your cards to send payments via a number of different
methods.

Thanks.

RE: multiple users on an IPad

2019-07-19 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Don,

I am by no means an expert on this but I would have to say, at present, that
the answer to your question is no.

In general, I think of an iPad as a single primary-user device. While you can
certainly have other people use it, it was not designed to support multiple
primary-user profiles.

Now this may change wit the release of iPad OS, but I doubt it.

Of course, this is merely my opinion.

Subject: multiple users on an IPad

Hello,

At work our team has a single IPad to share. Is there a way to setup different
users on thte IPad so we can each have a "profile" that ties to our own
email/icloud/itunes accounts?

I googled this and the best I found is that each person can login to icloud
with his own account but the rest of the "built-in" accounts are controlled by
the person who setup the IPad originally.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Don

Re: Apple Cash Question Please.

2019-07-19 Thread Kelly Pierce
Have you tried asking our friend Google about making a
person-to-person Apple Pay Cash transaction? To answer your question,
we would need more information. Does your friend live in the United
States and does he have an active Apple ID on a device that supports
iMessage using a recent version of iOS? If not, you cannot make a
person to person money transfer.

RE: Apple Cash Question Please.

2019-07-19 Thread janet gross
Hi Kelly,
Thank you, but I already got the information I need to do when paying by Apple
Cash, and it is just what I thought it might be. Pretty Cool!
