Hello  Steve & others,
I'm so glad to see this post. I am about to buy a new pair of hearing aids 
later this year. I have been considering ReSound , specifically because of 
their compatibility with iOs. I too, am a VoiceOver user.  I will follow 
this thread with interest and would love to be advised if a meeting with 
ReSound rep occurs. I just sent subscrition request to blind hearing aid 
user list. Very grateful for what has been shared here.

I have a question about FaceTime group calling

How does the FaceTime group calling work? Does anyone know the exact steps to 
initiate a group call? I also like to know if all iPhones with iOS 12.1 and 
above support FaceTime group calls or only iPhone X and after can be used.

If you can find someone who can do a meeting, I'd recommend setting up a 
Zoom meeting, since you can do that for free for a group and the meeting can 
be up to 40 minutes or so I think.
I'm not there yet, but I suspect I will have to get hearing aids before too

I too have these Resound aids and the app is not accessible. I have spoken to 
the Resound tech numerous times in MN and have told them you make hearing aids 
to help people with hearing loss but you don't make your app accessible. All I 
have gotten told is they are working on it. I'll believe that when I see it. I 
have a Racing app that gives the results for all the car races all over the US 
and that app is accessible. I don't believe there would be too many blind 
people using that app but they can make it accessible but Resound cannot make 
there app accessible.

My thoughts exactly. I kept my Series 2 and gave the Series 4 to my
wife, since this is her first smart watch. Previously, she was getting
the extremely cheap/budget watches from Amazon that cost $30, and
usually did not last very long. She's thrilled with her new Series 4
watch. I'm content to wait until September to see what's announced,
and then either get the new Series 5, or get the Series 4 at a
discounted price. By the way, thanks for the replies to my earlier
question.

If you can find someone who can do a meeting, I'd recommend setting up a 
Zoom meeting, since you can do that for free for a group and the meeting can 
be up to 40 minutes or so I think.

If you can find someone who can do a meeting, I'd recommend setting up a 
Zoom meeting, since you can do that for free for a group and the meeting can

With iPads, the settings are in a split view, so the main topic is on the left, 
when you double tap that to select it, the settings are on the right panel.
You should find the Siri settings along the left edge.
On mine, it is just after Wall Paper, and before Touch ID and passcode.

Last week I purchased the Withings, (formerly Nokia), cardio bathroom scale.
It took a bit of work to set it up, but I have found it to be mostly
accessible. Since it is a Wi-Fi connected scale using an IOS app I get
readouts on both my phone and, if I choose to visit the site, on my computer
as well. The scale provides weight, body mass, body water amount, bone mass,
BMI and other info. I did need to use Aira to do some of the setup as some
check boxes and links were not accessible.

The cost was $105 during Prime Day on Amazon, but it wasn't clear if the

Oh yes. Of course TuneIn, and IHeart Radio. I opted to go with Spotify in terms 
of music, for it being more open than Apple Music, or Deezer; and oh yes

This model is controllable from an iOS device, but wouldn't ya know it,
turn VoiceOver on, and everything just falls over. The Smart-3D
application goes completely haywire with VoiceOver in focus. It
automatically changes programs (hearing-aid profiles) in a round-robin

there are two on-screen buttons which are unlabeled and unresponsive
when double-tapped. Of course I wrote to the manufacturer with details
of the problem, and I got a very nice reply that said in essence that my
message would be forwarded on to the developer for further action. Of
course, those messages always sound like black holes to me, so I thought
I'd take my troubles to the best place of which I could think--this
list. If anyone's familiar with these aids and this software, please

This is very encouraging. OK then, let's do it! I used the "Contact Us" 
form on their Web page. Did you try that yet? I got a very nice note 
back from one Matthew Oslund. There's strength in numbers. Let's see 
what we can do!

It is not just those aids.  I too have Resounds and their app has always 
been inaccessible.  What would be nice is if we could get a group of blind 
Resound hearing aid users together to speak with a Resound rep.  My 
audiologist says she can contact someone that works there to work with me

Hi,

You don't hit return. There's a search button, return just goes onto a
new line. If it's pretty obvious what it's searching for though
Spotify will bring it up in suggested search results before you even
hit search.

I have not been able to do so for some time. It used to be that
VoiceOver would not even open the text field when I double tapped; now
it will do so, but when I type in an album name and hit return,
nothing happens. I have tried this with a bluetooth keyboard with no
success.

Anyone who uses hearing aids, please read

I just got some the day before yesterday from a company called ReSound 
(https://www.resound.com/en-us/hearing-aids/resound-hearing-aids/quattro). 
This model is controllable from an iOS device, but wouldn't ya know it, 
turn VoiceOver on, and everything just falls over. The Smart-3D 
application goes completely haywire with VoiceOver in focus. It 
automatically changes programs (hearing-aid profiles) in a round-robin 
fashion without any human interaction and with no way to stop it, and 
there are two on-screen buttons which are unlabeled and unresponsive 
when double-tapped. Of course I wrote to the manufacturer with details 
of the problem, and I got a very nice reply that said in essence that my 
message would be forwarded on to the developer for further action. Of 
course, those messages always sound like black holes to me, so I thought 
I'd take my troubles to the best place of which I could think--this 
list. If anyone's familiar with these aids and this  software, please 
sing out, with my profound thanks in advance.

I deleted the multi-page document I scanned with Voice Dream Scanner and 
scanned a single sheet this morning and had no problems saving it as a PDF file 
to Dropbox. I was attributing my issue to the new version of Dropbox but 
perhaps it was due to the multiple page scan I was attempting to save as a PDF 
file. I haven't done the multiple page scan more than one or two other times 
and that was when the app first came out. Sorry for my confusion and I hope I 
did not inconvenience anyone too much.

I'm still unable to save a document with multiple pages produced from a Voice 
Dream Scanner image and saved as a PDF file to Dropbox. When I execute the copy 
to Dropbox button, I'm taken back to the Scanner screen where the image is 
captured instead of to the Dropbox screen where I can select the appropriate 
folder. This hasn't worked correctly since I upgraded to Dropbox version 
152.3.2 yesterday and upgrading to iOS 12.4 has made no difference.

 

I'd appreciate it if others running this latest Dropbox would test this and see 
if they can duplicate my issue.

Thanks for letting me know yours is still working. I checked my Dropbox version 
and it's 152.3.2 so I don't know if we're running the same version or if you 
just left off that trailing .2. That doesn't seem like something you'd do. I 
have a Dropbox Plus account so don't know if that makes a difference or not. I 
guess I'll go ahead and upgrade to iOS 12.4 and see if that makes a difference 
in my results.

I'm a bit confused by your post. I never said I was running a beta version of 
iOS 12.3.1. I'm running the final version of it. But I'm not running iOS 12.4

re-subscribed, the interface was totally different. When Igo to my
library, all of my albums have completely disappeared. If I search for
one and try to save it, the "like" button does nothing--Voiceover just
keeps telling me the album was removed from my library.

What on earth is going on here? I do not want to waste my money.

I was offered a deal I couldn't pass up with TuneIN Radio Pro for $4.99 per 
month, and it is excellent!
Lots of music, news, sports options.
I also use the Comcast Stream app but since you have to have a Comcast 
subscription to use it, I doubt that is what the originator wants.  But, be 
sure if you use Comcast's  (Xfinity's) app, you get into the settings and set 
background playback to on.  That way, you can lock your phone and not lose the 
stream which saves a ton of battery life.

Well I think my favorite so far is Netflix and Philo.  Although the
Philo app isn't ver accessable I am able to use it on my fire tv since
it combines the channels with my antanna channels in the guide.

I agree! Just purchased this Renpho scale for $20 and think it's 
fantastic. The app for iOS is totally inaccessible. I just sync the 
Fitbit app to it for reading relevant details using Voiceover.
