I had to go to purchased, my purchases, search for the app by name, double 
tap the name then DT the update button.

ON the app store app, triple tap, then flick right to updates.
Double tap.
Then, to make sure, do a three finger swipe down until you hear refreshing 
screen or something like that.
Then, near the bottom of the screen will be a list of available updates, if 
there are any.

Each app that has an update, has a statement about that update.

Or, open the app store app, double tap on my account, and do the refresh and 
find the available updates near the bottom.

Either method should work.

If you have automatically update apps turned on, things will probably be 
different.  I've never turned that setting on because I want to know what 
each update is offering before I update an app.

I always read the details of updates before updating. Winston stated in the 
details of this update that VoiceOver users would no longer be able to scan 
from the image preview.

He enhanced the visual functionality of the image preview.
My guess is that we should not have been able to use that from the 
beginning, but it worked. The capture button has always worked, and was 
designed for our use.

Not to mention you can also enable the auto capture feature.

Bluetooth dongle,

ON the app store app, triple tap, then flick right to updates.
Double tap.
Then, to make sure, do a three finger swipe down until you hear refreshing 
screen or something like that.
Then, near the bottom of the screen will be a list of available updates, if 
there are any.
Each app that has an update, has a statement about that update.

Or, open the app store app, double tap on my account, and do the refresh and 
find the available updates near the bottom.
Either method should work.

If you have automatically update apps turned on, things will probably be 
different.  I've never turned that setting on because I want to know what each 
update is offering before I update an app.

I’ve observed that if the phone is in silent mode, there is much less verbosity 
from Siri. When I flip the switch to take the phone off silent mode, Siri works 
as it should. I don’t know if this is a feature or a bug.

I always read the details of updates before updating. Winston stated in the 
details of this update that VoiceOver users would no longer be able to scan 
from the image preview. 
He enhanced the visual functionality of the image preview. 
My guess is that we should not have been able to use that from the beginning, 
but it worked. The capture button has always worked, and was designed for our 
use. 
Not to mention you can also enable the auto capture feature.

I take back what I said about menus.  Apparently, only braille menus have the 
item then dot dot dot price.
But, Bank statements and Visa bills you do not want to separate the columns as 
it is meant to read across, service, then amount.
I'm sure other utility bills are similar, but perhaps the team will just try 
various electric, gas, water, bills, etc.

I regularly get emails with a PDF of an article with multiple columns of text 
as part of a course for learning Italian. Some product instruction leaflets are 
also multi£column.

First, would be an open book so you could get two pages scanned at once, and 
ideally, keep track of page numbers within the scan. So if I scan the beginning 
of a book, the first two pages I scan would be page 1, then 2,  etc. 
Magazine articles are often in columns that might be two or three columns on 
one page, so to be able to scan a magazine page, and have the columns read 
column 1, then column 2, etc. 
It would be ideal I think that if you wanted it to ignore columns like on a 
menu, you could turn columns off in hopes that it could read across so the 
price would match the item, but that is a lower priority to me than books or 
magazines.

I saw a link on Amazon and it listed them for $49 or so, it also had other 
links that included a wall charger and some other accessories.

I am definitely interested in these as a gift.
