Shouldn’t be an issue,
They are a Bluetooth device

I am considering buying the Airpods pro Max. My question is can you pair them
with a non Apple device like a Victor Reader Trek? I have the original
Airpods, and even though they show as being paired with my Victor Reader Trek,
they will not play content sent to them via bluetooth.

Re: Adding Airpods to Find My

2021-02-12 Thread Don Ball
I went directly to bluetooth under settings and opened the lid of the
charging case. after the airpods are detected you can click on them and get
their settings. I seem to remember that when a device was paired in the
pased that a notification would pop up anywhere and you could just double
tap to add the device but I have not seen that with this phone and IOS.
Progress is progress I gues.

Just an Observation about Buying TV Shows from the iTunes Store

2021-02-12 Thread M. Taylor
Hello All,

I have noticed, for quite some time now, that in some instances, the
television shows that are available for purchase depends upon which OS one
uses to browse the offerings.

In many cases, the newer versions of iOS and TV OS offer less choices.

For example, and this is just off the top of my head, I was interested in
purchasing the entire original series of Dallas.

When I searched for the package on the latest version of TV OS, all I could
find was the option to buy each season, separately. The same was true for
Star Trek, The Next Generation.

However, when I searched for these two shows on my 8 Plus, running iOS 13.7,
I found that I could purchase the entire series of both television shows for
a fraction of the cost of obtaining them, season by season.

I have been meaning to post this observation to the list for over 6 months
but, some how, I thought all of the platforms would even out; as yet, that
has not been the case.

I can find many more television shows, sold as complete series in iOS 13.7
than I can on iPad OS 14.x or the latest version of TV OS.

Just so you know, once you purchase the complete series, it is added to your
account so you can enjoy it on all of the Apple OS platforms.

Just something I strongly suggest you keep in mind the next time you are
interested in purchasing a complete series of a television show.

Mark

Re: Apple Airpods Pro Max

2021-02-12 Thread Brad Snyder
I’m sure it has to do with the Bluetooth radios used in the Streams 2nd
Generation and Treks.
These devices use really old technology, that hasn't updated since the devices
were introduced many years ago, and were not state of the art even then.
Apple on the other hand, uses current state of the art technology, and always
has been a leader in the industry.

tell if you have a TV like she’s even though they have no verification at all,
it just starts to play the video.

I agree. Try rebooting your device.
If that doesn't fix it, you may not have a strong enough cellular or wifi

Re: siri quit working

2021-02-12 Thread Brad Snyder
I agree. Try rebooting your device.
If that doesn’t fix it, you may not have a strong enough cellular or wifi
signal.

Good afternoon listers; using an iPhone SE. About five minutes ago, went to
use siri and she does not work now. When trying to use her, get two sets of
tones right after one another; no siri. Siri worked a few hours ago. Is there
a problem with my phone or siri? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Apple Airpods Pro Max

2021-02-12 Thread Brad Snyder
My understanding is that, yes, the AirPods Pro Max can pair with non-Apple
devices. However, if you have a problem pairing your original AirPods with
your Trek, I would expect you will also have a problem pairing any other AirPod
model with the Trek as well.

Using VPN to watch BBC

2021-02-12 Thread Traci Duncan
Has anyone successfully done this from the USA? I know a couple months back I
tried it was surf shark and wasn’t successful. However that could’ve been user
error. ☺️

Any guidance would be appreciated. Other VPNs? Tips on watching the BBC player?
It’s frustrating that audio description TV is on the BBC, but not on acorn TV
or BritBox.

Thank you,
Traci

support

CAUTION: External Sender

Exactly what happens when you try to use the dot Open command, which
normally pops up the screen with the files from your Dropbox MBraille
folder?

I have had different issues over the years with MBraille and Dropbox working
together. I can say that everything is working fine for me running ios 14.4.

Other than deleting and reinstalling your apps, you can also try this, which
solved my issue last time.

1, Make a backup of all of the files in your MBraille folder in Dropbox,
moving them to a different location within Dropbox.

2, Delete the MBraille folder from Dropbox.
3, Within the MBraille app, turn off syncing with Dropbox, then clear it
from your app switcher.
4, Start the MBraille app and turn back on syncing with Dropbox. MBraille
should automatically create a new MBraille folder in Dropbox.
5, TYPE something in MBraille and save it so it will be saved to the
MBraille folder in Dropbox. This is just testing to see if it works.
6, If the save is successful, then use the dot open command to see if you
can open the file you just saved.
7, If both is successful, then you should be all set, so you can then copy
and paste all of the files you use to have in the MBraille folder to the new
one just created.

Hopefully this is helpful and will work!

Chris

Hi all,

Anyone knows what happened to mBraille support?
I sent messages to the feedback list and never got them or any replies. I
did check the spam.

I also went to their contact form online and sent a message. But the page
never gave a confirmation that it was received nor did I hear back from
them... Very sad to see this app flag like this.

My dropbox support stopped working. I uninstalled app and reinstalled with
no luck. I also turned off and back on the db setting in the mBraille app.
So now I have no aliases, no syncing of documents and no way to reach out
to developer...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
