Re: Question about pronunciation

Pardon me for an oversight; my previous message was (incorrectly) presuming the
issue was occurring in MacOS rather than iOS. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to try
using the pronunciation table in iOS as well.

Just a quick tip when adding to the pronunciation table, after selecting the
“ADD” button you will be placed in the field that identifies the mispronounced
word, after filling this field in you need to use the key to
appropriately move to the field that identifies how that word should be
pronounced. Trying to use the key will not place focus in this
field despite telling you that it has. So darn frustrating!

Log into your Gmail account online and you can delete the AOL account.
If you have difficulties figuring it out you could always call Google
Accessibility using the Specialized Help section of the Be My Eyes app where
you can reach Google

And also not true, there are times when updates come out which fix previous
issues so if you don't update you potentially continue to experience issues
which have already been fixed.
This particular Facebook Messenger bug is mildly annoying but far from a major
accessibility issue. Sure, if you don't update you don't have it, but let's say
another update comes out which fixes it and you update but in turn another bug
is introduced then you have gained nothing.

RE: iPhone XR and deleting gmail

Thanks, is there a way to delete all of them at one time?

Hi,

By default, Gmail will archive, rather than delete emails. To solve this, do
the following.

Open the iPhone’s settings, and double tap on mail. Double tap on accounts, and
find your Gmail account. Double tap that, then find advanced and double tap it.
In that settings group you’ll see a setting which says, move deleted messages
to. Select trash as opposed to all mail, and you’ll have a delete instead of
archive option. When you’re in mail, after you’ve fixed the option, you can
either flick up on a message to delete it if you’re in the message list, or you
can open an email and find the toolbar near the bottom of the screen. Delete
will be in there.

Hope that helps!

We can discontinue this thread as of this message from me, its originator. I
downloaded and tried Bose Connect. It's not accessible, and I find that I can
just as easily use just one speaker at a time without it. Apparently, the only
real purpose of Bose Connect is to get folks to create accounts so that Bose
can advertise in their inboxes. I'm okay with just pairing my speakers as I
have always done, and I've shared this info with my son who had originally
suggested that I might like Bose Connect. For us who are blind, it really
doesn't work!

I assume you have already explored the built-in EQ settings in the Music app?

I would guess, and this is purely a guess, that for any EQ app to work, it will
affect all speakers, unless it is an app for that particular brand.

Have you checked on applevis.com?

Hi to all. I'm looking for an accessible app that is an E-q app for changing
the playback sound of some of my smaller bluetooth speakers.
Maybe increasing the bass and things like that. Are there any free apps, and
are these apps accessible with voice over. Thanks for any help.

RE: Accessibility of Home Connect America App

2021-08-22 Thread aschlank98
Hi Debby,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your inquiry about HomeConnect. I wanted
to have a little more experience before giving you an opinion. We do not have
Bosch laundry appliances, but we do have two Bosch ovens. After quite a bit of
trial and error, we have the ovens working through Alexa with some other
features available in HomeConnect (such as fast preheat). All in all, there was
some trial and error and some learning, but we now can control the ovens mostly
through speech with some fallback to the iPhone and HomeConnect. I wish
everything would work seamlessly together, but we are not quite to that point.
Any questions feel free to ask.
Best,
Alan

Subject: Accessibility of Home Connect America App

Hi,

I am considering purchasing a Bosch washer and dryer, however, for a lot of the
settings it has a touch screen. It can be used with wifi and the app is called
Home Connect America. In the app you can try out a demo appliance, and it seems
to be accessible. Does anyone use the app, and in real life is it accessible?

Thanks for your help!

Take care and stay safe!

Maybe increasing the bass and things like that. Are there any free

Bose Connect. How is this done, and is Bose Connect accessible? What, exactly
do I do once I've downloaded the APP, or, do I have to do anything other than
pair each speaker to the iPhone? Thanks for any help with this. At least the
APP's free, so if it's not accessible, I can remove it from my phone.

The bose music app is very good for accessibility on the Ios platform.

If that app is anything like the Sonos app, the app will take care of pairing
them together and with your iPhone.
I've not used it, but have seen talk about it being accessible.

If it doesn't talk you through what you need to do, I think Bose has a pretty
good support line.

Enjoy,

Richard

Subject: Bose Connect and iPhone

I have two Bose speakers and my son insists I'd love pairing them together with
Bose Connect.

Peace & Blessings,
