Hi, Jenny.

It seems Amazon has added the subscribe and save option to most products
now.  The first time I noticed it was when I bought a pair of
headphones.  I thought that didn't bode well for the quality of the
headphones, but it appears that they've expanded the option to more than
just food, personal care and household items.

What is probably happening is that the product you want has a
subscribe and save option.

Once the product detail page loads, Amazon wants you to choose either
the subscribe and save option or the one time purchase option.  As
you swipe right through the page, the single purchase option is
first, and the next swipe takes you to the subscribe and save
option.  Both of these are check boxes.  To uncheck the subscribe and
save option, double tap it, then swipe back to the single purchase
option and double tap it.

Now you can swipe right and you should find the add to cart option.

Hope this helps.

2022-03-29 Thread catwacky via VIPhone
Well, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking because I haven't had any coffee
yet. But here goes. We have a doorbell set up because we like the ring better
than the nasty thing that came with the house. This is not a video doorbell,
but sounds like the doorbells on the old tv shows. Now, I know you can get them
with several sounds on them, you just choose what you wish to hear. We hooked
ours up to the electricity, but you can put it on battery and just change that
whenever. There are also doorbells that you can get and put throughout the
house so you can hear them well.

Hope I've helped a bit, but, ya know, it is early. 😊 😊 ;😊

I have a question about ring video doorbell. I already have a simple doorbell
set up with blue tooth receivers plugged in through out my home. I'm wondering
is there a wireless model that I could use with my existing Bluetooth doorbell
system, and if not, is there one that I can buy that I do not have to install
wiring?
I do not own my home, and do not want to add something permanent.

Hello,
The setting you are looking for is under the verbosity settings for voiceover.
Open up your voiceover settings and navigate to verbosity. You want to look for
the one called container descriptions. You want to set this to off and it
should not say tool bar anymore.

Magic tap dictation sound on iPhone?

2022-03-29 Thread 'Harry Bell' via VIPhone
I have just noticed that in iOS 15, the two finger double tap to start and stop
dictation only has a haptic buzz on my iPhone whereas on my iPad Pro it still
has a ping sound. Did the ping sound on the iPhone get replaced by a haptic
engine at some point when starting and stopping dictation?
Thanks
Harry

Text message question.

2022-03-29 Thread Carolyn
Yesterday, I texted someone with an Android phone. She got
the message.

Problem: Today, I attempted to text to someone with an
iPhone. When I text, I always go into Contacts, rather than
starting from Messages. Well, I had the hardest time getting
my message to the iPhone person. But then, it didn't go to
iPhone. I got a text back from Android saying that somehow a
message for someone else, who had a birthday today, went to
her. Finally, I tried again to text to iPhone, finally, had
to just get Siri to do it. She got it, because she texted
back.

Re: Text message question.

2022-03-29 Thread Alex Stone
Carolyn, I’m not trying to tell you what to do, but it’s so much easier to text
from the messages app than the contacts app. Unfortunately I can’t explain your
problem though.

Checking in for my Spirit Airlines flight

2022-03-29 Thread William Outman
Hi, list.
I need to know how to check in for my Spirit Airlines flight Thursday and the
return on Monday. I’ve never done this before without a traditional paper
ticket.
I have the Spirit Airlines app and the confirmation email from wen I last
updated my reservation. I have a couple more emails from the airline trying to
sell me on seat upgrades and other things, I think.
How do I go about things from here?

Re: Magic tap dictation sound on iPhone?

2022-03-29 Thread Barbara Stahl
It must be some sort of setting that you've or your phone has turned on. My
iphone 8 running ios 15.3 still makes the ding sound when activating and
exiting dictation both using the two finger double tap and also actually double
tapping the dictation button.

2022-03-29 Thread Les Kriegler
Hi Bill,

In the email you received, you probably have a code which you can provide when
you check in. Alternatively, you could just provide your last name and they can
look you up and you should be fine. Have a good flight.
Best regards,
Les

Re: How to stop VO from saying toolbar

2022-03-29 Thread Michael Feir
That's probably an element of VoiceOver recognition. There's screen
recognition, text recognition and image descriptions. Screen recognition
can be really problematic but is occasionally useful on apps which are less
accessible. If you have screen recognition in your rotor, you can turn it
on or off while inside apps. You only have to do that once per app. If
that's too bothersome, I tend to suggest people turn screen recognition
off. Image descriptions and text recognition are both generally useful.
Hope that helps.

RE: Ring video doorbell

2022-03-29 Thread Johna Gravitt
I have a question about ring video doorbell. I already have a simple doorbell
set up with blue tooth receivers plugged in through out my home. I'm wondering
is there a wireless model that I could use with my existing Bluetooth doorbell
system, and if not, is there one that I can buy that I do not have to install
wiring?
I do not own my home, and do not want to add something permanent.
Thanks,
Johna
