It is perfectly possible to use voice control with VoiceOver

This all sounded OK to my ears, even though it may not look so to the eyes of
others.

RE: Another question about notes app

2022-07-13 Thread Christopher Chaltain
Sounds like you're doing everything right to me. After you double tap on the
add note button, make sure you're in the edit field and it has focus. Type what
you need to type into your note, and it should appear. You should see it when
you swipe around or explore the screen. Changing the roter to characters or
words swill also let you see what you've typed into the edit field. When you
tap the done button, it should still be there. When you go back to your folder
list, you should see the number of notes in your folder has increased by one.

Hello,

When I type using the Bluetooth keyboard, later I find the note. However, now
I'm practicing typing directly on the iPhone, and although I click on done
button, there's no note at all. It's like I didn't write anything.
Evidently, I'm doing something wrong. What should I do once I finish writing a
note?

Kenny,
Thank you for letting me know this, as this answers my question. So, that
isn't a bad deal for two lines, meaning $35.00 for each line. Matter of fact,
the rep who I talked to asked me if you were talking about the plan for two
lines, but I didn't know that at the time.

We have two lines on the plan, and so it is 70 for the both of them, it is not
70 dollars unless you do the wireless billing. You may have to go into the
store, and talk to them.

I searched on line, and I couldn't find any $35.00 phone plan for one line.
So, I called T-Mobile, and spent 20 minutes on the phone with them as they
were searching on line, but they said they have no phone plan unlimited text,
calling, data for $35.00. Do you have one line or two lines on the $35.00 plan
you just got from T-Mobile? In the $35.00 plan, is that with taxes?

2022-07-13 Thread Michael Feir
I think I know what you've run into here. For the buttons on the headphones
to adjust the volume, there needs to be sound playing. That can certainly
be your iPhone speaking. If those buttons are used when no sound is
playing, they'll trigger the battery status check. Simply cause your iPhone
to play music or other audio with a two finger double tap, or just touch
the screen to cause VoiceOver to speak. While it's theoretically saying
something too quietly to hear, press the top button on the right of the
headset to raise the volume.

calling, data for $35.00. Do you have one line or two lines on the $35.00 plan
you just got from T-Mobile? In the $35.00 plan, is that with taxes?

Yes it is true, you should go into a store, and ask them to go over your plan,
I can't have Spectrum, and had trouble with Verizon, and AT, and T, so thought
I would try out T Mobile, so far, so good, it is there cheapest plan for
unlimited, but it works great for me.

Hi Carolyn, that's the way I did this last one. The lady over the phone offered
to do everything for me. But since I only lived 3 miles away from the store I
opted to just go to the store and grab my Sim cards instead of having them
mailed to me. I don't know who you'll be able to switch to come when you go to

have top-notch customer service for both ends.

This is a labeler, that you put a label on your pills , and you have a pen,
that you touch on it, and it reads outloud whatever you have put on that

I need to make Braille labels like MG for magnesium, V for multi vitamin, D for
D, C for calcium, B for Biotin. It would be great if an app could easily
identify it.

I have iPhone 12 Pro with latest I O S with following apps:

I just went to T Mobile, left AT and T and getting my unlimited plan for
everything for 35 dollars. The customer service has been very good, and had no
problem with dropped called, can not tell any difference between the two
services.

Hi Carolyn, that's the way I did this last one. The lady over the phone offered
to do everything for me. But since I only lived 3 miles away from the store I
opted to just go to the store and grab my Sim cards instead of having them
mailed to me. I don't know who you'll be able to switch to come when you go to
your new place. But the deal that I have is actually fairly sweet. And they
have top-notch customer service for both ends.

Hi.

The term unlimited can be misleading. What I've found that the data is
unlimited, but the speed you get it is throttled back if you go above a certain

Hi Carolyn, that's the way I did this last one. The lady over the phone offered
to do everything for me. But since I only lived 3 miles away from the store I
opted to just go to the store and grab my Sim cards instead of having them
mailed to me. I don't know who you'll be able to switch to come when you go to

have top-notch customer service for both ends.

2022-07-13 Thread Kenny Nead
Yes it is true, you should go into a store, and ask them to go over your plan,
I can't have Spectrum, and had trouble with Verizon, and AT, and T, so thought
I would try out T Mobile, so far, so good, it is there cheapest plan for
unlimited, but it works great for me.

I need to make Braille labels like MG for magnesium, V for multi vitamin, D for
D, C for calcium, B for Biotin. It would be great if an app could easily
identify it.
I’ll try using Seeing AI again.
Thank you for suggestions here is link:

I’ll experiment with apps and will open this site in morning.

Recently got Script Talk to read prescription meds. However, I needed to call
pharmasist to give a special label in order to work.
I have iPhone 12 Pro with latest I O S with following apps:
digit-eyes, TapTapSee, Seeing A I, Voice Dream Reader, OneStep Reader, Be My
Eyes, EasyReader, and SoloLearn.
I have several bottles of vitamins and don't know how to get the labels to
read. Any ideas?
Voice Over only announces green and white label.
Thank you,
Ann

$35 sounds good; AT offered me $50. Of course, then, there are taxes and fees
and anything else they can think of to add.

I just went to T Mobile, left AT and T and getting my unlimited plan for
everything for 35 dollars. The customer service has been very good, and had no
problem with dropped called, can not tell any difference between the two
services.

Hi Carolyn, that’s the way I did this last one. The lady over the phone offered
to do everything for me. But since I only lived 3 miles away from the store I
opted to just go to the store and grab my Sim cards instead of having them
mailed to me. I don’t know who you’ll be able to switch to come when you go to
your new place. But the deal that I have is actually fairly sweet. And they
have top-notch customer service for both ends.

RE: How to read vitamin labels?

2022-07-13 Thread Ann M Medlar
I need to make Braille labels like MG for magnesium, V for multi vitamin, D
for D, C for calcium, B for Biotin. It would be great if an app could
easily identify it.

I'll try using Seeing AI again.

Thank you for suggestions here is link:

https://www.directionsForme.org/

I'll experiment with apps and will open this site in morning.

Subject: How to read vitamin labels?

Recently got Script Talk to read prescription meds. However, I needed to
call pharmasist to give a special label in order to work.

Thank you,

Ann

Conference call question.

2022-07-13 Thread Carolyn
I was on the phone with two people, got a call. I put them
on Hold and Accept, got the other caller. When we were
through, I never could get my first callers back. The phone
displayed them, but I couldn't get them back. What do I do,
after Hold and Accept on a call, to get back to an original
call? Thanks.

2022-07-13 Thread chaim biberfeld
I have found that except for the fact that you cannot save the text in a file,
seeing AI is the best of all the apps. When viewing complicated labels and such
I always use the documents reader rather than the short text which I find to be
enervating. I recently bought the Orcam Eye bought so far I have found it
frustrating to use and regret for $4200 I paid for it. I would love to sell it
if anyone is interested. I am sure other people have more patience for it Than

Another question about notes app

2022-07-13 Thread Rena
Hello,

When I type using the Bluetooth keyboard, later I find the note. However,
now I'm practicing typing directly on the iPhone, and although I click on
done button, there's no note at all. It's like I didn't write anything.

Evidently, I'm doing something wrong. What should I do once I finish writing
a note?

Switcher just to make it easier to ump between apps in the future, and I will
clear things out of the App Switcher and reboot to clear up problems I may be
having. I also do this when updating to a new version of IOS just to start with
a clean slate.

I'm with Richard on this issue. There seems to be no scientific definitive
answer but common sense and logic developed from using computers over 40 years
tells me clearing the App Switcher of running apps is good for your device at
certain times. I always clear the App Switcher when performance falters or when
I'm installing an iOS update.

I just went to T Mobile, left AT and T and getting my unlimited plan for
everything for 35 dollars. The customer service has been very good, and had no

I tend, for the most part, to keep mine cleared, because when I first has an

question how to stop my i pad and i phone saying the word soashel after some folders and before you flip to diffrentpages on the screen.

2022-07-13 Thread michv
Hi all I have a I pad forth gen. on this I pad I have a folder called
soashel. I have named that folder but now when ever I swipe to different
pages it says the word soashel before each page instead of saying page 1
page 2 etc. this is also happening on my I phone as well as some times it is
saying it before the name of different apps. I just want it to say page 1
page 2 not soashel page 1 page 2 etc. I am wondering how I can accomplish
this? I have tried doing a 3 finger press and hold to try to re name the
folder to something elts when it is saying soashel instead of the name of
different folders I only have 1 folder called soashel but some times vo is
saying the word soashel before the word games for my games folder. I have
tried clearing the text and rrighting the word games but it is still doing
this. Since I have the same layout of folders on my I phone 8 From Mich.

RE: App switcher

2022-07-13 Thread Richard Turner
AS far as GPS apps, they have to run in background if you are counting on them
for directions. Yes, they work fine in the background while another app is
open, at least all the ones I’ve used do.

However, it would be senseless to leave them running when you are not using
them as they are a large battery consumer.

My experience as a former rehab instructor and my personal experience says that
when the phone is not working correctly, sluggish, apps not opening, etc.,
clearing the app switcher solves the issue every time.

Re: App switcher

2022-07-13 Thread Alan Lemly
I'm with Richard on this issue. There seems to be no scientific definitive
answer but common sense and logic developed from using computers over 40 years
tells me clearing the App Switcher of running apps is good for your device at
certain times. I always clear the App Switcher when performance falters or when
I'm installing an iOS update.

Re: App switcher

2022-07-13 Thread Richard Turner
Apparently there is no definitive answer. Apple says leaving apps does not
impact performance.
My experience as a former rehab instructor and my personal experience says that
when the phone is not working correctly, sluggish, apps not opening, etc.,
clearing the app switcher solves the issue every time.
HTH,

Blind and quadriplegic

2022-07-13 Thread chaim biberfeld
Sorry to bother you all, another question. My sister has MS and is totally
blind and quadriplegic. She can only speak. I have tried to help her use her
iPhone with VoiceOver, but when I try to use voice control with VoiceOver, the
entire thing gets discombobulated. Is it possible to use voice control with
voice over or not?

App switcher

Good morning. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to whether leaving apps
on in background as seen on app switcher, uses internal memory and processing
or not?
