You take a screenshot by pressing the side button and volume up button at the

When you do you hear a camera like sound and then at the bottom left of the
screen is a thumbnail image of the screenshot, but you can simply press the
buttons and after a short delay Voiceover will say "Screenshot, button", once
you hear this double tap anywhere.
After you doble tap most likely Voiceover will say "Done", this is the top left
button on the screen, if you flick right you get the following in this order:
Undo, dimmed (this let's you undo any changes you may make to the screenshot
like cropping it and so on, most likely not something you would or could do)
Redo, dimmed (same sort of thing, I wouldn't worry about it)
Markup
Delete
Share (this is the one you most likely would want, once you tap it your regular
share sheet opens and you can email it to yourself or somebody else, text it,
save it and all that)
Now you get stuff which I don't know what exactly it is for, I assume it is
where you may drag to crop the image:
Top left corner handle, flick right and you hear "Screenshot 1 of 1, flick
again and you get top edge hHandle, then top right corner handle, left edge
handle, right edge handle, bottom left corner handle, bottom right corner
handle, bottom edge handle.
Lastly you get Crop and Scale or Select Text and the last item is Detect Text
which you actually could use and which would recognize any text in the
screenshot.

If you don't do anything after taking the screenshot, e.g. if you don't double
tap when Voiceover says "Screenshot, button" then it goes away after a few
seconds, but your screenshot will automatically be saved to your camera roll
and if you open Photos you can find a "screenshot" category under "Media Types"
and you can find your screenshot there and you can of course share it from
there just like any picture.

Re: Braille Screen Input question's

2022-11-05 Thread Mohammad Fazil
Thanks much for such a nice explanation! Let me ask for my own clarification:
Is table top mode the position where I hold the width of the phone rather than
its length with earpiece upward?
/Thanks!

On Nov 5, 2022, at 8:52 AM, Chris Chaffin wrote:

Hi,

First, table top mode and away mode.

Table Top mode is where you lay the phone flat on a surface and the dots are
like a perkins brailler. So on the left side, you would have dots 1, 2, and 3,
going from center to left. And on the right side, you would have dots 4, 5, and
6, again, going from center to right.

Away Mode, is where you hold the phone with the screen away from you with the
charging port on the right. With this mode, the dots are in two columns. On
the left, you would have dots 1, 2, and 3, going from top to bottom, so the
dots are on top of each other in a column. And on the right, you would have
dots 4, 5, and 6, again, going from top to bottom.

Now the reason the dots are changing positions on you is because it is
switching from table top mode and away mode depending on the position of your
phone.
there is a gesture where you can lock it in whichever mode you want to do.
So put it in the mode you want; table top or away, then do a three finger swipe
down on the screen. This would be from your mute switch side to the side with
your side button. It should say, orientation locked. This is a toggle
gesture, so you would do the same gesture to unlock the orientation.

I would recommend taking a look at the list of gestures for Braille Screen
Input. Go to settings / Accessibility / Voiceover / Commands, then swipe to
Braille Screen Input, and in there you will find all of the gestures to use
with the BSI keyboard.

Hope this helps answer your questions.

Chris

It must work very differently for Mp3 than Faisy, , because much smaller

Hi all,
Currently using Voice Dream Reader to read mp3 books.
Problem is if you miss something in a book it is hard to move back a small
amount rather than a percentage.
Other apps will let you move in 30 second increments from the control centre.
With VDR you can only move next track.
The slider control in notification centre doesn't seem to work.
If I've missed anything or if my skills need improving please let me know.
TIA.

And on the right, you would have dots 4, 5, and 6, again, going from top to bottom. Now the reason the dots are changing positions on you is because it is switching from table top mode and away mode depending on the position of your phone.there is a gesture where you can lock it in whichever mode you want to do.So put it in the mode you want; table top or away, then do a three finger swipe down on the screen.  This would be from your mute switch side to the side with your side button.  It should say, orientation locked.  This is a toggle gesture, so you would do the same gesture to unlock the orientation.I would recommend taking a look at the list of gestures for Braille Screen Input.  Go to settings / Accessibility / Voiceover / Commands, then swipe to Braille Screen Input, and in there you will find all of the gestures to use with the BSI keyboard.Hope this helps answer your questions.ChrisOn Nov 5, 2022, at 5:05 AM, Lielle Ben Simonליאל בן סימון wrote:Hi friends, I had started to use BSI and have questions about that. What the difrences between both modes Table mode and Screen away modes? And sometimes the dots changes  both of 2 eadges on the screen and sometimes they in the meedle on the screen. Why it's happends? and how can I write in BSI without to moove my fingers all the times?and in eddition why the dots changes position on the screen? מילים באהבה שירותי תמלול.0509549090לדף העסקי שלי:https://www.facebook.com/transcribes500/

You take a screenshot by pressing the side button and volume  up button at the same time.

When you do you hear a camera like sound and then at the bottom left of the screen is a thumbnail image of the screenshot, but you can simply press the buttons and after a short delay Voiceover will say "Screenshot, button",
once you hear this double tap anywhere.

After you doble tap most likely Voiceover will say "Done", this is the top left button on the screen, if you flick right you get the following in this order:

Undo, dimmed (this let's you undo any changes you may make to the screenshot like cropping it and so on, most likely not something you would or could do)

Redo, dimmed (same sort of thing, I wouldn't worry about it)

Markup

Delete

Share (this is the one you most likely would want, once you tap it your regular share sheet opens and you can email it to yourself or somebody else, text it, save it and all that)

Now you get stuff which I don't know what exactly it is for, I assume it is where you may drag to crop the image:

Top left corner handle, flick right and you hear "Screenshot 1 of 1, flick again and you get top edge hHandle, then top right corner handle, left edge handle, right edge handle, bottom left corner handle, bottom right
 corner handle, bottom edge handle.

Lastly you get Crop and Scale or Select Text and the last item is Detect Text which you actually could use and which would recognize any text in the screenshot.

If you don't do anything after taking the screenshot, e.g. if you don't double tap when Voiceover says "Screenshot, button" then it goes away after a few seconds, but your screenshot will automatically be saved to your
camera roll and if you open Photos you can find a "screenshot" category under "Media Types" and you can find your screenshot there and you can of course share it from there just like any picture.

Hi, Sieghard!

I wrote to Envision about my login issue and they sent the following email and ask me to submit a couple of screen shots. could you, please, tell me where should I go for those screen shots? Here is there email:

"Hi Muhammad!

Thank you for reaching out! I wasn't able to find an account under this email or your name. Can you send me a screenshot of your Apple ID from your phone and a screenshot of the subscription? I will have our development team try to find
the disconnect and work on getting this fixed.

Thanks!

Not sure why this doesn't work. Anyways, if you bought a lifetime subscription you should probably have login credentials and I would just use them.

Hi, Sieghard. When I use Apple ID, Voiceover gives me ‘Continue Button’. When I double-tap it, this button does not accept  my gesture. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, you have to provide your Apple Id password and yes, it is save. Actually it is probably safer because you can choose for Apple to reveal your actual email address or to hide it in which case any emails still get
forwarded to you. Keep in mind that if you had already created an account/separate login with Envision I would use that and if you forgot the password you can probably request a password reset and change it. I sometimes use my Apple Id to log in if that option
is given and if I hadn't previously set up login credentials. There is a chance if your lifetime subscription is connected to a separate login you created at the time it may not show up if you log in using your Apple Id.

and in eddition why the dots changes position on the screen?
