RE: Reading digital displays on ovens and thermostats

2023-04-11 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Sorry, I should mention one exception where I find I get pretty good results
with an app. I have a thermostat controlling the in-floor heating in the
kitchen and here interestingly enough I get the best results using Tap Tap See,
if I aim the camera well I usually get something like "White Digital Thermostat
showing 26 degrees or whatever the temperature is set as. Interestingly enough
other apps like Seeing AI don't give me anything.

hi,
Can any of the available text reading apps successfully read digital
temperatures on oven and thermostat devices? If so, I have yet to find one that
I can operate. It may be operator error, though. Appreciate any insights.
Best, Keith

I assume you know exactly how to put the headset in pairing mode?
If you are certain it is in pairing mode and the iPhone doesn't see it, maybe
try to remove the first headset which is already paired and then see if the
other one will pair.
You could also try to pair it to a different device in order to test it and
make sure it is not defective, of course this will only work I fyou have
another device such as an old iPhone, an iPad or an Apple Watch.

Hi,

This can also happen if you have "low power mode" turned on. Check Settings /

2023-04-11 Thread 'Kimberly Samco' via VIPhone
Hello,

I’ve always set my auto lock to never. All of the sudden my phone locks after
30 seconds. I looked at display and brightness settings and the choice of
times for auto lock is set to 30 seconds but is dimmed so I can’t change it.

Can anyone tell me how to put it back to never auto lock?

Thank you,

Go to any Home Screen, touch an app, flick up or down to edit Mode, and
double-tap. Now find the app you want to move. Flick down to the Drag option
and double-tap. Touch an app or folder that you want to be to its left or
right. Then flick down until you get to the Drop option you want, and
double-tap.

Edit mode will close a few seconds later, or you can do the Home gesture or
press the Home button to exit.

Check Restrictions to confirm that the ability to delete apps is turned on.
Settings, General, Restrictions,

press and hold on the app you want to remove. it will say editing.

it will pull up a context menu that says remove app, tap on that,

and then it will give you options to delete from iPhone or remove from home
screen.

tap delete and it will be removed.

Here is how I delete apps.

1. Flick to the app you wish to delete.

2. Flick up till you reach the "edit" option and double tap it.

3. Flick down till you reach the "delete" option and double tap it.

At this point you should get a screen that offers the "remove" option, an
explanation of the remove function,

And the "delete" option and an explanation of the delete function.

4 Double tap the "delete" option.

Placing yourself in "edit" mode, step #2, is key to this operation.

1. Place focus on the app to be deleted on your home screen and single
finger triple tap.
2. A context menu will open and focus should be on Remove app and you
should single finger double tap the screen.
3. Another screen will open with a heading of Remove and the app’s name.
4. Single finger swipe right until you hear delete app and single finger
double tap on the screen to delete it.
5. A confirmation screen will open and you must single finger swipe right
to the Delete button and double tap to complete the process.

1. position yourself on the app you want to delete and swipe down with one
finger to, Edit, and do a single finger double tap, and you should hear,
started editing.

2. Swipe down with one finger to, Delete, and do a single finger double tap and
you should hear, Remove...

Now swipe right to, Delete app, and do a single finger double tap. I forget if
there's a confirmation dialog, but if there is, tap on yes.

Double tap and hold on the desired app icon. Wait till you hear a three chime
tone

drag your finger around to where you wish to move the app To another screen by
dragging it to the edge of the device

and waiting for the sound indicator to notify you of the screen change or on to
a folder and wait for the folder to open with a distinctive sound letting you
know that the folder is opening.

Press the home button to get out of that edit mode where you can rearrange apps
or delete them

Go to Settings, Accessibility, Voiceover, Rotor actions, and single finger
swipe right once to Edit apps on home screen and make sure the switch is
turned on.

To DISABLE AN ADD ON:

Once you have found the add-on, press Alt plus d, which will disable it.

Check whether there are any others it might be, and if so, do the same to them.
