I think it also happens when phone is in speaker mode but it is less

Re: Siri’s selective hearing problem still prevails at the end of the iOS 16 cycle

2023-06-26 Thread Dave Grossoehme
Richard I gone so far as to reset the modem and router when this
happens, but it doesn't help.  The problem is there isn't a problem with
any other device at the time of these events.  I have many devices
including 2 desk top computers and the internet doesn't even slow when
this happens.  That's why I know that it is with the Weather Server from
Apple and Siri.  I have a programming engineer in the family who has had
this happen with their Siri as well when in the middle of a large
programming job, and it doesn't slow down his coding computer.  Before
IOS 16.0 it may happen at a certain time of day.  After IOS 16 it can
come at anytime of the day without any warning at all.  Reboot of the
device doesn't change anything either.  We just have to go about our
business and when it decides to clear up we can use it again..

The problem of Siri and the Weather App still happen to me. Yes she
has my permission for my location.  however, it's like Siri has lost
the internet connection to the Weather Server and she sets there for a
few seconds and then say's still working.  After that I may for may
not get a result.  I may receive nothing was heard back.  This happens

2023-06-26 Thread Chris Chaffin
After exporting the OML file from Overcast, you then go to that file, pull up the share sheet by choosing to share it, then choose Downcast from your options.  It will then automatically open the file in Downcast, and all of your podcast will be listed in Downcast.  This is what I did myself.ChrisOn Jun 26, 2023, at 9:14 AM, Mickey Quenzer wrote:

And investigating this further, I don’t see how to import your podcasts into Downcast. There is an import media button, but that doesn’t seem to ask for an file.
So I’m not really sure. Sorry about that I wish I could have figured it out!

Hello yes this happened to me yesterday the hole and some weird codes
the pass coad keyboard was like that and also like you said alex was not coming
up on my phone as far aswhen you select him and Samantha voice was coming up.
When swipeing through the voices it was also reading those strainge coads under
speech and voice section of accessibillidey. And all this started after
upgradeing to the latest update. It is working now but I had to spend a hole
day on the phone with apple accessibillidey to make it work nad they also
wanted a screen recording and analiticks. After eraceing my phone and restoring
it from a backup vo is saying the word home a lot as well. So it is not just
you. The updae messed up something for shure. From Mich.

I can’t help with the Alex voice, but there’s definitely some weird stuff going
on with the latest version of 16 wit typing mode set to touch typing and either
autocorrect and check spelling turned on.

keyboard very strangely. I don’t even know how to describe it, I hear something

Any idea what this is or how to fix it?

Re: Does any one know how i can import my podcasts in to down cast from over cast?

2023-06-26 Thread Mickey Quenzer
Hello:
If your podcasts are in Overcast, what do you want to do is go into settings,
and and useExport OPML Body, Indentation level 0

And investigating this further, I don’t see how to import your podcasts into
Downcast. There is an import media button, but that doesn’t seem to ask for an
file.
So I’m not really sure. Sorry about that I wish I could have figured it out!
