It is. Try going to settings, accessibility, VoiceOver, and at the bottom is
double tap time out. Try increasing it to 3 or 3.5.

RE: Is this due to latest update

2023-11-29 Thread Cristóbal Muñoz
The other day, I reached out to their accessibility team regarding a VO issue I
was having where VO would just randomly go silent for 20 to 30 seconds. Very
similar to a nasty bug we dealt with maybe back with iOS 7 or 8 or one of those
versions.
Low and behold, they acknowledged the issue after I gave a detailed description
of when and how etc. They asked me to generate a diagnostic report via a link
they provided and said they were working on it.
Sometimes it does feel like you’re just screaming into the void, and others…
reaching out to report a bug really does help.

RE: Thoughts on Air tags?

2023-11-29 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Except it’s not actually GPS, Airtags do not have a GPS receiver. They are
strictly Bluetooth devices which connect to whatever compatible device they can
find and then the location is updated via that device’s location services. The
actual Airtag is not a very smart device at all which is also why they are as
cheap as they are.

How the GPS works is when the AirTag is near somebody who has an iPhone,
The identification number of the tag goes through that iPhone and up into the
cloud, so that if you’re using find my iPhone, you can see the location where
the AirTag was last near an iPhone. If the AirTag is not near an iPhone, you
won’t get this information. Or, if it is near an iPhone, and then moves away
from the iPhone, then you would get only the location of where it was when it
was near the iPhone, and not its current location. So it is not perfect but it

It is. Try going to settings, accessibility, VoiceOver, and at the bottom is
double tap time out. Try increasing it to 3 or 3.5.

With these issues occurring after the update, I just wondered if this could be
