Funny, I don’t' get notifications when I'm using the phone, but no problem if 
it's locked.

After updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 17.2 I have begun to face a problem with 
notifications alerts. I can no longer get sound alerts at all when my phone 
screen is locked. I made sure that I turned on all the show on locked screen 
for all the notifications of  the appspps I want, but to no avail.
Did anyone else face this problem? If so, how did you folks deal with it? It is 
very frustrating to deal with it. I spent over two hours fiddling with the 
various notifications settings without any success.

special people, but Twinkle is my default. I like it.

Hey Mark, to answer your first question I haven’t specifically found any bugs 
that this fixes for voiceover. Also, as of notes, I am testing the public beta 
for 17 and have been doing so for the past few weeks. I think you’re going to 
like what is offered in 17.2. as far as your question, regarding purchasing of 
movies and TV shows through the iTunes app on your iPhone, I’ve done both. I’ve 
purchased through the iTunes app itself, but I’ve also been purchasing through 
the TV app. There’s really not much difference, at least none that I’ve seen, 
and certainly nothing that should be , a game changer really. I hope this 
helps.

Okay, I'm going to take the plunge and update to 17.2 but I just want to
make certain I know what I'm in for:

1.
Has anyone noticed any Voice Over bugs that have been resolved in 17.2?

2.
Up to this point, I have purchased all of my movies and TV shows, from
Apple, via the iTunes app on my iPhone.  Can one no longer purchase content
via the iTunes app in iOS 17.2?  I recently saw a post that would suggest
that Apple has changed the method by which one may purchase video content.

I have an iPhone 13 Mini running 17.1.2 and have recently been having issues 
with SIRI.  When I ask a question, she will get part of the way through the 
answer, and then stop talking and make the sound like she is listening.  So, I 
never get the full answer.

I understand that there is a new feature for back-to-back requests, but I can’t 
seem to get even the first request answered fully.

Any ideas?

Hi,

 

I have an iPhone 13 Mini running 17.1.2 and have recently been having issues 
with SIRI.  When I ask a question, she will get part of the way through the 
answer, and then stop talking and make the sound like she is listening.  So, I 
never get the full answer.

 

I understand that there is a new feature for back-to-back requests, but I can’t 
seem to get even the first request answered fully.

 

Any ideas?

No you aren't the only one with problems with Siri.  Many times you can 
ask her for a general answer to a question, and you get the response of 
I can show you from a particular web site or she will give you an answer 
from a web site instead of just giving the answer to the question.  I've 
had many times of asking for a temperature of another city and receiving 
my own temperature here instead of the other city.  Set a timer with 
Siri and then before the end of the time, ask her how much time is left 
on the timer and she may say there aren't any timers just because you 
don't ask her for the time on the named timer.

Try updating to 17.2 which came out yesterday and see if that helps.

 

Someone posted a work around within the last week, but I’ve also found that if 
I ask the same question a second time I usually get more if not all the answer.
