my name, but when I called here, it said Wireless Caller.

RE: Caller ID Help Please.

2024-05-03 Thread janet gross
James,

You know, I think you are right.
I will call Apple tomorrow, and see if they can shed any light on this.
I just might call my phone carrier T-Mobile as well.

Janet.

I'm glad you just mentioned the calling forward, as I just now checked that,
and I tried to turn that on as well, but to no avail either!
I just find all this strange though.

Hi Sieghard,

This is the strangest thing, all these problems I have been having with the
phone app on my phone lately.
I thank you for this, but can you imagine having to reset the network settings
just to turn on the caller ID?
I think it was just some weeks ago, I was having a problem because calls were
showing up on my phone that I didn't even make.
I can't help but wonder is all this related to my phone carrier?
Mind boggling to say the least!

If you cannot turn it on, have you tried to close all apps and restart your
phone?
If that doesn't help, I would recommend you go to General Settings > Reset and
do a Reset Network Settings. Then try again.
Keep in mind that after Reset Network Settings you will have to reconnect to
your Wi-Fi and also change the name of your iPhhone back to what you want in
Settings > General > About.

On my 14 Pro, there was no caller ID in Phone in Settings.

It is not an app. On the 10R it shows as part of the phone app in settings.

ID.

Yes, My Card is it is first in your contacts, should have your name. You can
go into it and press Edit at the right top, like any other and put in your
name in the fields. However, I did not include a picture with mine, and
somehow, the name did not display, when I tried it on our home landline.

Hi Carolyn,

What do you mean when you say your card?
I am talking about the caller ID on an iPhone.
I've had caller ID turned on my iPhone for over 5 years.
I accidentally turned it off, now that I think of it.
So, are you saying you don't have caller ID on your phone?
What kind of a phone do you have?

Hi Everyone,

When I call someone, they always ask why do I have my caller ID not
shown.

I went in to settings, phone, caller ID, tap on show my caller ID,
but all I get when I do that is a message says in progress.

I can't seem to turn on my caller ID.

Is there some way I can turn on my caller ID so when I call someone

I have a XR with 17.4.1.

Thank you all.

If you cannot turn it on, have you tried to close all apps and restart your
phone?
If that doesn't help, I would recommend you go to General Settings > Reset and
do a Reset Network Settings. Then try again.
Keep in mind that after Reset Network Settings you will have to reconnect to
your Wi-Fi and also change the name of your iPhhone back to what you want in
Settings > General > About.

name in the fields.

Janet

Some way some how my caller ID has been turned off.

When I call someone, they always ask why do I have my caller ID not

I went in to settings, phone, caller ID, tap on show my caller ID,

I can't seem to turn on my caller ID.

Hi Carolyn, to fix this problem on your landline a call to Verizon is in
order. They can adjust your color ID settings where it will say your name
whenever you call your landline. The only way I don't think this can be
fixed, is if you're using one of those landline connect boxes.

3. Use the toggle switch to show or hide your number

Apparently this does not work with Verizon

Hi Carolyn, to fix this problem on your landline a call to Verizon is in order.
They can adjust your color ID settings where it will say your name whenever you
call your landline. The only way I don't think this can be fixed, is if you're
using one of those landline connect boxes.

RE: Caller ID Help Please.

2024-05-03 Thread Carolyn Arnold
Well then, I went into phone and found no caller ID.

Carolyn,

I don't know about the card other then having your name in the contacts, but
that shouldn't have anything to do with it.
Have you ever gone through the settings, phone, caller ID?
That is where I find mine.
I have always had the caller ID option to turn on or off on any of my phones.
I don't know of any iPhone or any phone for that matter that doesn't have
caller ID though.
I have the caller ID turned on so when I call someone, they will know where
the call is coming from.
Some people don't answer their phone if they don't know where the call is
coming from.

I have a 14 Pro, but think whether or not this can be done has to do more with
updates, and I do have 17.4.1. I did not know of an app called Caller ID.

Yes, My Card is it is first in your contacts, should have your name. You can go
into it and press Edit at the right top, like any other and put in your name in
the fields. However, I did not include a picture with mine, and somehow, the
name did not display, when I tried it on our home landline.

Janet

On My Card, you can put your picture and name, but mine did not take just my
name, and I'm not about to fool with dealing with a picture.

mine doesn't have cellular. My 13 doesn't offer Caller ID.

Hi Everyone,

Some way some how my caller ID has been turned off.

When I call someone, they always ask why do I have my caller ID not
shown.

I went in to settings, phone, caller ID, tap on show my caller ID, but
all I get when I do that is a message says in progress.

I can't seem to turn on my caller ID.

Is there some way I can turn on my caller ID so when I call someone
they will know the call is coming from me?

I have a XR with 17.4.1.

Thank you all.

Janet

2024-05-03 Thread Gerardo Corripio
Yes! I just got the update this morning (a few minutes ago in fact), to version ending in 94, and everything's working awesome once again over here too! I don't remember if I mentioned it, but the incoming message sound is back! It's been several years since I'd heard it! In fact, this was one of the first things I noticed yesterday morning with Whatsapp ending in 91!GeraEnviado desde mi iPhone SE (2nd Generation) de TelcelEl 3 may 2024, a la(s) 6:04 a.m., Øyvind Lode escribió:I have WhatsApp 24.9.4 and it works just fine over here.I've sent and received messages and used the app as I regularly do throughout the day and no issues so far.On Fri, 3 May 2024 at 05:07, Gerardo Corripio wrote:So if any of you'll updated to "Whatsapp 2024" ending in 9.71, don't update!
The app closes all of a sudden; and when you've deleted chats and reopen it again, the chats come back as if you haven't deleted them. It's so annoying! I wouldn't want for you'll to go through these annoyances, thus I'm really hoping "Whatsapp" will come out with a patch soon!

Re: seeking correct cable

2024-05-03 Thread Øyvind Lode
That depends on the brick or hub you have.
I have a 20WW Apple brick which is usb-c but I have an iPhone 14, so I need
a usb-c to plug into my brick and a lightning to put into my iPhone 14.
So, if you have the official Apple 20W usb-c you need a cable that is usb-c
in both ends because the iPhone 15 has a usb-c connector and not the old
lightning connector.

I have WhatsApp 24.9.4 and it works just fine over here.
I've sent and received messages and used the app as I regularly do

seeking correct cable

2024-05-03 Thread Vicki W.
Hi,

Can anyone tell me what type of cable to purchase for charging the 15 plus? I
know one end will be a C connection, but is it C on both ends or is it an A on
one end for the brick or hub?

Thanks.

Vicki
