Hi Sieghard,

This is the strangest thing, all these problems I have been having with the 
phone app on my phone lately.
I thank you for this, but can you imagine having to reset the network settings 
just to turn on the caller ID?
I think it was just some weeks ago, I was having a problem because calls were 
showing up on my phone that I didn't even make.
I can't help but wonder is all this related to my phone carrier?
Mind boggling to say the least!

If you cannot turn it on, have you tried to close all apps and restart your 
phone?
If that doesn't help, I would recommend you go to General Settings > Reset and 
do a Reset Network Settings. Then try again.
Keep in mind that after Reset Network Settings you will have to reconnect to  
your Wi-Fi and also change the name of your iPhhone back to what you want in 
Settings > General > About.

So if the in progress message goes away in about ten seconds, does the caller 
Id show up as it is turned on?

I also get the in progress message.  But, if I wait around 10 seconds the in 
progress message goes away.

Hi,

I don't get the option to show my caller ID.
I go to settings, phone, caller ID, I tap on that, and I then get a message 
saying in progress but nothing changes. ,

On My Card, you can put your picture and name, but mine did not take just my 
name, and I'm not about to fool with dealing with a picture.

I looked and saw what you mentioned on my 10R and it said what yours said but
