Re: Accessible Air Fryer

2024-06-06 Thread 'Mervin Keck III' via VIPhone
That is the one we have. The Cosori Pro 3 Dual Blaze Air Fryer. We make
everything from Pizza to Burritos in there. Even vegetables are better when
made in there. I’ve even used the app on my iPhone as well as the touch screen
but mostly the Lady A because as you know the touch screen is not exactly
friendly to someone with no useable vision. The app is totally accessible.

Re: Cannot sign into I cloud with Chrome.

2024-06-06 Thread Peter Tesar
I now have access to my I cloud account using Windows and Chrome. It
took about 2 hours. Many fustrations and the need to send of
verification codes to verify the eMail address, alternate phone number
and the Iphone (for texting).

When I started, using Windows and Chrome, The verification screen was
presented. There were the 6 edit fields, 1 for each digit of the
verification number. After the 6^th digit was pressed, the focus jumped
to the 1^st digit field and all fields were blank. With a few attempts,
it was always announced as an incorrect verification number.

I suspected the password and it’s relation to the eMail address. So I
tried to change the password.

first, using the Iphone setup. Double tapping my name and eventually
getting to the screen to change the password. Each password used was
announced as weak. So I switched to the I cloud site.

The audio challenge was needed to change the password. The I cloud site
passed control to the Iphone. which I had to tap “allow”. The remaining
steps were done on the Iphone.

This 2^nd attempt successfully changed the password. The password I
chose was the very same one I tried in my first attempt going through
the Iphone’s settings.

Is there a way to access the I cloud account with the Iphone?

I could only find I cloud in the Iphone’s settings.

Thanks for your suggestions, they spurred me on to keep trying.

I just tried it on my Windows 11 computer with both Chrome and Edge

focus was automatically in the first field of the 6 numbers, the
message with the code popped up on my phone and I entered it without
difficulties. The important thing to note is that as soon as you enter
the first number, focus will jump to the next field and if you end up
entering the number and pressing tab, you are skipping fields and it
will not work. I usually review the number on my iPhone and memorize
it, then I turn on NumLock on my computer and use the numeric pad to
enter the six numbers. As I said, after each number you enter focus
goes to the next box and after you enter the last number and as long
as you entered them correctly, you will be logged in and in my case I
was asked if I wanted to trust this browser which if I said Yes, I
would not be prompted for 2-factor authentication next time I log in
with that computer and browser.

I also deliberately entered the number incorrectly to see what happens
and each time Jaws announced it was incorrect and focus again
automatically jumped to the first number field. I did this twice with
the same result and then I entered it correctly and I was logged into
the iCloud website. I assume there is a limited number of attempts you
are allowed for incorrect entries before it locks you out and you then
may have to do something more elaborate to authenticate yourself.

That 6 digit  code entry can be annoying. Generally, once you do it
though you won’t need to repeat the process.

As you indicated there are 6 fields. I would make sure you are on the
first one, and then just behave as though it is one contiguous text
field. It might be helpful to turn off the virtual cursor while
entering the number, but I don’t believe that is necessary. (I haven’t
done this process since 2017). Once all 6 numbers are entered then it
automatically submits the numbers for validation, so don’t look for a
submit button or press the enter key.

2024-06-06 Thread leobado1982
Hello. Does anyone know of any demonstration showing how this app works with
Voice Over? For those of you who may not know about this, it is basically a
reader powered by the 11 Labs AI voices. According to the description on
Appstore, epub and PDF files are supported as well as URL's and any text
copied into the app itself. Thanks for any info!

Cheers,

Subject: Heading Level Access In Safari Browser

Hi Group,

I finally was able to change some settings in Safari
Browser on the iPhone to get it to display HTML files that
are stored locally on the iPhone.  I  created my modified
Dice Football Game Play Sheet by using headings to more
quickly navigate from play list to play list.  I have the
lists separated into running plays, kicking plays, passing
plays and conversions at level one and the various list of
items such as short pass, long pass and screen pass for
the passing plays and the running plays such as left end
run, right tackle play and reverse at heading level two.

Is there any way to navigate by heading levels using a
quick number scheme such as is done on Windows desktops
with quick key number navigation such as number one for
heading level one and number two for heading level two on
  the iPhone?

Thanks for any help.

Then, press VO+q to turn on single letter quicknav.  I have the VO
command as control+Options so control+Options+q.
Then, you can use the singel numbers or h for the next heading, shift
plus h for previous or even shift+1 for previous heading level 1, etc.

Use the rotor while in the Safari app and look for headings. Once

If you can't find the heading option in the rotor then you must add
it in the VoiceOver rotor settings.

Good luck!

Subject: Heading Level Access In Safari Browser

Hi Group,

I finally was able to change some settings in Safari Browser on the
iPhone to get it to display HTML files that are stored locally on the
iPhone.  I  created my modified Dice Football Game Play Sheet by
using headings to more quickly navigate from play list to play list.
I have the lists separated into running plays, kicking plays,
passing plays and conversions at level one and the various list of
items such as short pass, long pass and screen pass for the passing
plays and the running plays such as left end run, right tackle play
and reverse at heading level two.

Is there any way to navigate by heading levels using a quick number
scheme such as is done on Windows desktops with quick key number
navigation such as number one for heading level one and number two
for heading level two on the iPhone?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Transferring Files to a New Phone

2024-06-06 Thread Dave Clement
Hi Richard, I don't know about BARD books as I am in Canada, but I have found the same thing is true for Kindle books. I have had to redownload my Kindle books after upgrading to a new phone. The Kindle library info is preserved  but to read any book, you have to redownload it. I hope this can be improved in the future, or, if it has already been improved, please let me know. Dave ClementWinnipeg MBOn Jun 2, 2024, at 5:04 PM, Richard Turner wrote:I do not believe BARD books get backed up. Is this true? If you have enough space then you can include BARD in your backup. I assume when you restore your iPhone then you’d get your BARD books back again. Obviously,
I won’t be testing this until I get a new iPhone. BTW, when you get a new iPhone, Apple will temporarily give you enough storage to back up your iPhone.

Hi Steve. Bard books is something that won’t transfer over to a new mhone. The only thing you can do, is to redownload your books onto your new phone again. I know how annoying this is. Hoefully this will change sometime in the future.

It's that time once again, and several iOS versions have gone by since last I even thought about this problem, but I am now in the process of getting data transferred to a new phone. Some applications, specifically BARD, have files that cannot be accessed
through user-level applications like File or File Browser. So, is it possible to move lots and lots of BARD books from one device to another without having to re-download them? If so, can a user do it, or must it be done by an iOS technician at a store?
