Re: Back Tap on iPhone 8

2020-09-22 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
Hi,
First, you need to set the tap functions you want.
I suspect that cases have something to do with how well it does or doesn’t
work. For example, without a case, it works real well. With my apple case, it
still works ok, but I need to tap just a little stronger.

It seems like this would be rather impossible for voiceover users to do.

Any thoughts on this.

hello,

No way that I know of.

I suggest you contact Comcast accessibility group and let them know about this
this is a horrible situation.

There's no reason why this app works this way.

Why should it force you to sign in when you're just looking for data, after
all, you're already logged in through your app.

Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid.

Shame on Comcast.

hello,

The Gmail app is extremely accessible. I've been using it for several years and
love it.

Now if it was just as easy to use in my chrome book that would be great.

Again this really works great for iOS.

Voiceover works like a charm.

Re: Lazarillo or BlindSquare

2019-09-16 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
Hello,
What3Words isn't really accessible for VO users. It has a lot of unlabeled
buttons and a few other places that don't appear to be accessible. Just for the
heck of it, I gave it a try and promptly removed it.

Re: Voice Dream Scanner.

2019-04-09 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
hello list

Without a doubt, this is one of the best apps I have ever purchased. After
downloading it using it once it was fantastic.

I really really love this app I've been doing more scanning in the last several
days and I have in a long while.

Re: Voice Dream Scanner versus KNFB question?

2019-04-06 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
 hello,

I hold it in my hand all the time and scanned documents. It works quite well.
I'm extremely impressed with Voice Dream scanner.

It reads very well and documents are self contained in the iPhone not on some
server somewhere else.

I can't say enough, I really really really really love this app.

It's the best $5.99 I've ever spent in my life.

Hello list,
I hope this is the correct list for the following questions.
We will be traveling for a while and I need to get a VPN that will work and be
100 percent accessible for VO users.
I will be using this on several devices, 2 iPhones and a MBP.
The services I'm considering are, ExpressVPN and NordVpn.
Any thoughts regarding the complete accessibility of either of these VPNs as
far as VoiceOver and ease of set up?
TIA.

Fixed it.
Just accessed the order tab, pressed the button for the order. And there was
the delete option in the roter. Didn't notice this before.
Oh well

Deleting from the Door Dash app

2019-03-03 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
Hi list,
I started an order in the door app. I want to remove this partial order. Can
anyone please tell me how to do this using VoiceOver?
The orderhas an item in it, but it was neverplaced. Also at this point, I have
not set my payment yet. This is my first time using this app.
So, again, I wish to remove a partial order from my orders tab.
TIA for any assistance.

The different bands for cell service so that I can clearly decide what carrier
I want to use or to stay with my current carrier. In other words, I want to
purchace an iPhone that will work on any network where I decide to go. This is

Newest 3 iPhones, Radios and Modems

2018-09-13 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
Hello,
Does anyone know if all three iPhones have the same radios and modems no
matter where purchased?
In years past, there was a difference in modems for example between Verizon
and T-mobile.

Re: hard restarting iPhone X?

2018-09-06 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
hello,

Just curious. How does a blind person see the Apple logo.

Just thought I would interject that.

Re: Thermostat again

2018-08-13 Thread 'Dan' via VIPhone
Hello,
I have the talking thermostat from Talkingthermostats.com.
It's the VIP3000.
This is a universal thermostat. It is not a Wi-Fi thermostat.
It does have 5/2 programming. That means weekday and weekend programming.
It speaks in an extremely clear male voice.
The price was around $190 or so.
HTh.
