Thanks for the information. Apple should do a better job of letting users
decide how it tracks phones and which services to turn off.

Re: Quarter hour time announcement for iPhone

Hi Chaim,
I like Westminster Chimes which will play a chime every quarter of the hour and
strike the number at the hours in its free version. I had to disable showing
notifications on the lock screen so it wouldn’t speak and sound the time but it
has worked well.

Re: Voice control on the 6S

2020-02-09 Thread Aedan Something
A lot of voice control’s problems can be solved by saying "command mode" when
you don’t want to dictate normally. You can still say "type " to
dictate what you say before you pause when Voiceover is focussed on a text
field. I can’t find a setting in voice control settings to turn command mode on
by default.

Re: I updated spotify and now can't read daly mix descriptions

2019-11-05 Thread Aedan Something
You’re welcome, in my experience developers need more than polite requests from
disabled people before they take us seriously. Skip the Dishes has refused to
change their app framework or label their buttons after many attempts. Giving
the app makers a low rating and encouraging other people to do the same because
the developer has broken Apple’s accessibility guidelines and therefore is
refusing to serve the whole public might do a better job of encouraging
positive change.
I hope more developers respect all of us whatever it takes.
