Announcing the Launch of ScripTalk Mobile for iPhone

2019-11-18 Thread Amanda Wonkovich-Tolson
En-Vision America is excited to announce the long awaited arrival of the
ScripTalk Mobile app for iPhone.

To successfully install and run the app, you need:

   - iPhone 7 or Higher
   - iOS 13
   - Visit the Help Section inside the app to find Directions on How to Use
   - Support for iPhone 11 is still in beta
   - Special RFID Tags placed on your prescription by a participating
   pharmacy.

Go To App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/scriptalk-mobile/id1317698388

The ScripTalk Mobile app was designed with mobility and convenience in
mind. We think you will love both the "scan" and "quick scan" buttons.
Scan tells you all of your drug information and Quick Scan is a convenient
way to hear only the drug name announced. You can also use the History
feature to review your medications without having to scan them.

*Please Note: This app is used to read special RFID Tags placed on your
prescription by a participating pharmacy. If you don't have these special
labels, go immediately to the find pharmacy button (in the app), call us at
1-800-890-1180 or click on the button below to fill out a request form.*

Re: An App to read medication bottles?

2018-03-15 Thread Amanda Wonkovich-Tolson
Some general information about bar-codes on medications and such

95% of the time when there is a bar-code present on a prescription label,
the bar-code is only for internal use. It will be the RX number, account
number or something along those lines. It will not be a manufacture
bar-code that can be associated with the medication it self.

Product bar-codes are associated with the product it self allowing
companies to create databases with this information. With Seeing IA their
database only contains product names, while En-Vision America's i.d. mate
bar code scanner database contains the name and information about the
product. In an attempt to not turn this into a sales pitch you can visit
our website for more information.

There are 2 common styles of bar-codes. 1st is a QR Code or also called
2D bar-code. This style actually contains data within the code, like a web
address, or actual information. 2nd is a Universal Product Code or UPC.
This style contains a number only and for it to be useful you need to
assign information to that number in a database.

UPC is what is found on all products, the key to it being useful to a
consumer is for a database to be available to them.

Hope I didn't bore you!

Hi All!
Amanda Tolson here from En-Vision America the makers of ScripTalk talking
prescription reader. Great news, we are currently beta testing our new IOS
ScripTalk App. It does still require using a participating pharmacy that
provides the RFID labels, but the number of participating pharmacies is growing
every day! You do need an IPhone 7 or higher to use the app because of
limitations Apple has set for developers of Apps that use RFID. Call us and we
can let you know what pharmacies participate. 800-890-1180. Oh, and if you’re
interested in beta testing and have an IPhone 7 or higher let me know.

Take Care,
Amanda Tolson

Re: App to Scan Bar Codes on Prescription Medications?

Hello All,

So glad I found this conversation!! I recognize some names on here and LOVE
the ScripTalk recommendations!! For those of you who don't know me I am
Amanda Tolson, Pharmacy Relations with ScripTalk.

I would like to clear up some information..

*Where ScripTalk is available*

*All VA:*

*Walmart*: 35 Physical Store Locations and 1 Mail Order Location.

*CVS*: Mail Order Location Only

*Hy-Vee* Locations: 10 Physical Store Location

*Big Y Locations:* Severs all of MA and CT.

*People's Drug Mart:* BC, Canada

*Independent Pharmacies:* Over 100 Independent Pharmacies Nationwide Offer
ScripTalk.

Please contact me for phone numbers and specific locations that offer

*New and Exciting Information about QR Codes*

ScripTalk has been expanded into *ScripAbility*. ScripAbility is a suite of
accessible prescription products that include Braille, Large Print, and
Audible. ScripView our Large Print option features a 2D bar code that works
with our FREE ScripView app on IOS in the app store. The app allows you to
obtain all your prescription information in an Audible format or while
using a blue tooth Braille display in Braille as well.

Alan do you mind me asking which pharmacy provided the codes for you? Also
we got that broken link taken care of! Again glad we found it!!

If anyone would like more information please email me or call. I would be
pleased to answer any questions!!

Is there an app that can scan codes off prescription meds to tell you what
you have? Is this another one of those instances where the codes lead to
information on some private network that isn't available to the public and
therefore not accessible to an app?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Bar Code scanner for medication. ScripView App

2014-03-03 Thread Amanda Wonkovich-Tolson
Hello All,

I recently saw 2 post regarding scanning medication to get personal label
information. In these post I also saw ScripTalk mentioned. I want to answer
questions and also educate those who don't know about the new ScripView
App.

By the way, This is Amanda Tolson from En-Vision America. 800-890-1180

I will start with ScripView:

   - Yes, you can find the ScripView App for free in the app store.
   - What does it do? It will scan a 2D or QR code and read the information
   contained in the code.
   - While Voice Over is on, it can then become an audible label.
   - How do you get it? Well that's the tricky part. A pharmacy must print
this code on your label with the personal label information.
   - ScripView is not just an App. It is actually a Large Print booklet
style label that is secured to the prescription. The font size can range
from 12pt all the way to 26pt. This is customizable to the patients needs.
The Bar code is included on this label for those who prefer using an IOS
devise over a dedicated equipment device.

Currently this is available in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Nationwide
Mail Order Service. Big Y Pharmacy offers this service and will mail
throughout MA, and CT to anyone living in those states and using that
pharmacy. Of course you can go into the store as well, but for those who do
not live close mailing is the option. The Nationwide Mail Order Option is
out of IL from Merle Pharmacy. What you may run into with Mail Order is
that your insurance will only allow you to use a certain Mail Order
Company. Either way if you really need or want this service its worth
looking into.

*Moving on to ScripTalk*

ScripTalk has been the long standing and implemented choice for accessible
prescriptions. And all though a dedicated piece of equipment may not be the
users first choice in many cases it is. Whether it's because the person can
not afford a smart device or because they choose not to use that type of
technology because of the learning curve. To clear up some information I
will let you know where ScripTalk is provided and what you can do to get it.

*Pharmacies that Offer ScripTalk*

*Walmart:* 35 physical store locations and 1 mail order ( If your Walmart
does not carry ScripTalk and you would like them to please contact me)

*CVS:* Only available through Mail Order

*Hy-Vee:* 10 store locations

*Big Y Pharmacy:* Available for both Massachusetts and Connecticut residents

*Independent Pharmacies:* Over 100 Independent pharmacies throughout the US.

*People's Drug Mart:* BC, Canada

For additional information you can contact me at 800-890-1180800-890-1180or

Most importantly, if you would like accessible prescription and an option
is not available for you, remember you are your best advocate!! If you
would like more information on how to advocate for accessible prescription
on your own behalf or on the behalf of others please contact me. To read
