Wifi issues continue

2012-08-31 Thread Mari
*I reported some time ago regarding the issues regarding my prior and
current Iphone is not staying connected to my Lynksis router WRT54G2,*
**
*I reset the firmware on the router*
**
*reset all network settings on iphone including network settings*
**
*I needed to find out if anyone has any other thoughts as I've tried
changing the channel no luck so am I to assume its the router then? I was
hoping to hear back from the moderator if he had any ideas but I realy just
need help please. My other devices "computers" connect and stay connected
to the lynksis router just fine.*
**
*Any other ideas anyone?*

VoiceOver and passcode for iPhone

2012-08-19 Thread Mari
Not sure if anybody else is experiencing this issue, but once in the pass code
for the iPhone and having the passcode turned on, VoiceOver will immediately
take focus to the emergency call button instead of allowing the user to enter
their pass code.

I have read and other groups related to accessibility that this is an issue
with iOS 5 as well as voiceover I'm hoping that the accessibility team Apple
will have this fixed when iOS six comes out.

Wireless connection issues.

2012-08-19 Thread Mari
I have the Iphone 4 and 4s, in addition I have a home wireless network that
is unsecure. My router is a Lynksis wrt54G2 after updating the Iphone 4 to
IOS 5 i noticed that the wireless connection would just drop with out
sudden warning, I had never had that happen before. I have been back and
forth with Apple and ATT who both say its not the device, the iphone 4 is
two years old and I recently upgraded to the 4s I noticed the same issue
the iphone 4s could not keep an active connection the router...

Now, I do have a few computers / laptop connected just fine to the router.
Could it be that since the firmware is not up to date on the router that
could be the issue, or could it be the router itself as maybe some security
settings are not the "newest" or settings need to changed to work better
with Iphone's? I really need help as I use my Iphone constantly and would
like to be able to run off wifi.

Re: Wireless connection issues.

2012-08-19 Thread Mari
I wanted to know the following related to my issue:

1. How do you change the "channel" for the Lynksis router?
2. What channel should it be changed to? What affect will this have on any
computer's connected to this router?
3. I think we forgot the password that we might have used before how do we
reset the router back to defualt password?
4. Is there a specific webpage we need to go to for the Lynksis router to
acomplish all this?

Seeing as I am not very technical savy but can learn with percise
instructions (very detailed) I would like to fix this issue

Thanks

Marissa

Re: Wireless connection issues.

I will try changing the channels, i have upgraded the firware. Now if i am
sitting two rooms away from the router i stay connected for the most part,
however if i go the kitchen my wifi drops, other pc's we have connect just fine.

Could it also be That Apple has implemented it security feature to wear when
the phone is locked the Wi-Fi drops?

Also, we have a TV in the room next the router and also a cordless phone plus
the two desktop PCs on the same room could that be affecting the connectivity
of the router.

RE: Wireless connection issues.

2012-08-20 Thread Mari
How exactly do I secure the Wi-Fi connection I saw something about wireless
security and then the different choices and I read something about WPA2 but
then asked for some kind of security key?

I'm surprised to see how many people are having similar issues I thought I was
the only one I do appreciate everybody's help and I hope that things resolved
soon I may just think about replacing the router does that sound that something
that should be done? I will take the suggestion from somebody who replied and I
will stick with one of the many wireless channels for a few weeks and see if
that helps
