 Pinky,

TapTapSee is a free app designed to help the blind and visually impaired
identify objects they encounter in their daily lives. Simply double tap the
screen to take a photo of anything and hear the app speak the
identification back to you (Note: Spoken identification requires VoiceOver
 to be turned on).

When you first open TapTapSee a Privacy Notice pops up that needs to be
accepted for you to use the app. Once it's accepted you're taken into the
app, which consists of a camera and four buttons at the top of the screen -
 Repeat, Library, Share and About.

To take a picture simply double tap on the screen and wait for the
identification to come back to you. This will take seven to 10 seconds,
depending on your network connection. The image gets sent out to our server
where it is processed and then given a tag that is sent back to the user's
device. The VoiceOver in the device speaks the identification back to the
 user.

TapTapSee also includes the following four features:

The Repeat button was developed in case the identification was missed by
the user on the initial response.

The Library button allows the user to access the device's Camera Roll in
order to send images to TapTapSee for identification. To access this
feature simply click on the Library Button and then proceed to select an
image that you want to have identified from the Camera Roll (Note: If
access to the Camera Roll is denied then the Privacy Settings must be
 changed on the device).

The Share button gives the user the ability to Share the image via
Email, Twitter or Facebook. The Share button also includes the option for
the user to save the image to the device's Camera Roll and more.

TapTapSee gives users a general identification of the images. However,
if for example, the user takes a picture of a can of soup and wants to know
the name of the brand, the application will be able to read the label and
return the identification with the brand name. Nevertheless, keep in mind
that TapTapSee will only be able to recognize the objects that are within
the camera's scope. Sometimes it take a bit of playing around with
TapTapSee to get the desired identification.

TapTapSee also has a Focus notification sound that can be turned ON and
OFF as desired in the About screen. Once an object comes into focus, the
app makes a sound to notify the user that it's in the optimal position to
 take a photograph.

TapTapSee gives the user the ability to take up to three images at a
time to be identified. However, the total amount of images taken for

As Teresa mentioned, lighting has a lot to do with it, as well as the
distance of the object from the camera. My biggest suggestion is for you to
continue playing with TapTapSee. From what I have noticed, once you get

Hello Patti,

My name is Dmitriy, I work for the company that developed TapTapSee. What
do you mean by it skipping from picture to picture? I want to have a better
understanding in order to assist you.

Best,
Dmitriy

though I think I did that; anyway, it keeps skipping from picture to
picture, and if I try to stay on one it will not describe it.
 What am I doing wrong?

Re: TapTapSee Feedback

2013-07-01 Thread dmit...@taptapseeapp.com

The Share button gives the user the ability to Share the image via Email,
Twitter or Facebook. The Share button also includes the option for the user
to save the image to the device's Camera Roll and more.

TapTapSee gives users a general identification of the images. However, if
for example, the user takes a picture of a can of soup and wants to know
the name of the brand, the application will be able to read the label and
return the identification with the brand name. Nevertheless, keep in mind
that TapTapSee will only be able to recognize the objects that are within
the camera's scope. Sometimes it take a bit of playing around with
TapTapSee to get the desired identification.

TapTapSee also has a Focus notification sound that can be turned ON and OFF
as desired in the About screen. Once an object comes into focus, the app
makes a sound to notify the user that it's in the optimal position to take
a photograph.

TapTapSee gives the user the ability to take up to three images at a time
to be identified. However, the total amount of images taken for
identification are unlimited.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions.

Best,

Dmitriy

Timothy,

Did you by any chance pause the downloads when it initially started? That
may be the cause of it. If you click on the app in the Update screen while
it's trying to update, it will pause the process. Another reason may be
that the updates are big and require you to be near WiFi. However, that's
usually the case for games not smaller apps. Let me know if this helps any.

Best,
Dmitriy

Hi guys, let me try and explain what's going on and maybe someone can
assist me this morning. I have two apps, iHeart Radio and Slacker that are
trying to update. I had a full iPhone a,d cleared some stuff out to let the
updates continue. both iHeart and Slacker are now stuck in the updates, and
when I click on them I get waiting, and they won't open or start the
download. I tried to take them out of he app switcher to no avail, and even
tried to delete them and uninstall them and they won't go anywhere and they
seem to be stuck. Am I going to need to connect my phone to my laptop when
I get home tonight and sync apps that way, or is there another way to clear
this out and let the updates perform so I can use the apps. I'm running a
16 gig iPhone 4S with latest IOS. thanks guys. Take care.
