If you go to Settings/Accounts and Passwords/App and website passwords You will
have to authenticate with your face, finger print or Apple password, however
you're set up to do it and then you can see all of the app and website
passwords you have allowed keychain to store.

Now that explanation helps me understand! Thanks very much. I guess I had
thought 1Password did it automatically, without the need for using the Share
sheet. Guess it's obvious in retrospect.

Many thanks. Keith

Hi,
iCloud Keychain can automatically fill in the credentials for you. 1Password
cannot; instead you have to open the share sheet and choose 1Password from the
list. This is an iOS limitation not a 1Password one. But since iCloud Keychain
is integrated into iOS, autofilling credentials is possible.

Hi. I have both, because 1Password offers more than just passwords. For

Makes it a breeze not only for easy recall but also for easy typing on these

RE: 1Password or just Keychain?

2018-09-05 Thread Cristobal Muñoz
There was a rumor a few weeks ago about Apple acquiring AgileBits outright:
https://9to5mac.com/2018/07/10/apple-not-buying-1password/
Seems Apple hooked up all its employees with a 1Password family subscription
around the same time.
As the article above notes however, the 1Password team knocked that rumor down
for what it's worth. It could also just be the company covering its butt to
avoid any bumps in the road if there is in fact anything going on behind closed
doors as far as an acquisition
With iOS 12, there is also supposed to be greater integration with
apps/services like this to make the sign in process a whole lot smoother and
cut down on the steps needed to log in.
Indeed, as someone else noted, 1Password does more than just save log ins. I
use it for lots of items.

Hi,
Go to the page in settings, and copy each password.

Create a new entry in 1password, and paste the info.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Thank you, that’s really helpful! I’ve now downloaded 1Password: how do I get
all my website and app passwords into this app? Go to each website in turn and
sign out then sign back in? Presumably I can’t just give the app access to
keychain?
Thanks

RE: 1Password or just Keychain?

2018-09-05 Thread jldail13
Hi,
Go to the page in settings, and copy each password.

Create a new entry in 1password, and paste the info.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Jessica

Thank you, that’s really helpful! I’ve now downloaded 1Password: how do I get
all my website and app passwords into this app? Go to each website in turn and
sign out then sign back in? Presumably I can’t just give the app access to
keychain?
Thanks
Harry

Re: 1Password or just Keychain?

2018-09-05 Thread 'christopher hallsworth' via VIPhone
Hi. I have both, because 1Password offers more than just passwords. For
example, I store secure notes, credit cards, etc etc. I know iCloud does the
latter, but 1Password even stores the CVV for the credit card(s) I wish to use.
Makes it a breeze not only for easy recall but also for easy typing on these
screens *smile*. So yes, 1Password offers more than just storing and syncing
passwords and credit cards.
