Re: 4 finger single tap bug?
Hi Wayne, I usually find the letter p and then the send button is right above it. If you are in numbers, you find the 0 and the send button is above it. Re: 4 finger single tap bug?
Responding late to the 4 finger tap toward the bottom of the screen issue, this works for me most of the time, however I have noticed a few places that it does not work. For example, if I go into Messages on my iPhone, and open the very long conversation between my wife and I, when I put 4 fingers toward the bottom of the screen I often hear part of the keyboard. This mostly happens after I have received a message from her and when the virtual keyboard is showing. This is an annoying bug but not one to get real upset about, IMO. I then touch near the bottom of the screen with 4 fingers and get to the send button, where I can swipe left to the text area to write in a response. As I say though, the 4 finger tap at the bottom of the screen works most of the time for me. Running iOS 7 on an iPhone 5. I asked this before, but, let's say I am in the twitter app and I have not been there for a day and 100 messages have come in. I want to move to the number one message, in row 1 and read down to where I left off last time but my app opens on let's say row 200. Hilisters, I can confirm the bug only on iPad in different apps, such as mail. Even touhing the screen with 4 fingers on the top of the display to jump to the first element on screen, does an different action. Idd a very annoying bug.. Re: 4 finger single tap bug?
Hi Sieghard, I tried your suggestion and yes I admit it does work. I am certain I tried that one and it gave me the last email on the screen instead of the last email in the list. I am glad your magic worked and it works the way I need now. (smieley face) thanks. Dan Beaver -- From: "Sieghard Weitzel" Sent: Sunday, September 22, 2013 3:42 PM To: Subject: RE: 4 finger single tap bug? Hi Dan, Swiping from the Compose button left twice to get to the last email does in fact work just fine, I tried it since I mostly avoid claiming something works if I haven't actually tested it. In this example of getting to the last email the answer is yes, you could just touch the bottom of the screen where you will land either the Compose button or the Last updated message instead of doing a 4-finger tap and then swipe right once or twice depending on where you touched. I do this a lot in various apps. Now, there are, however, situations where this does not work. For example, you might have an "I Agree" button at the bottom of a 10 page disclaimer on a web page or when you install an app and quite often the only way to get quickly to the bottom and often right onto the button is to use the 4-finger tap. Re: 4 finger single tap bug?
Remember, the four finger tap on the top or bottom half of the display takes you to the first or last element. This means, if there are other buttons or links after a long list, you will be taken to the last button or link, not the end of the long list. So, use a left single-finger flick to go back to the last item in the list. The TiVo app is another good example where the four finger tap is so useful. You get a list of your stations, which may run into the hundreds. If you just touch the bottom of the screen, you just get to the last station displayed, which may only be the fifth station. The four finger tap at the bottom of the page does take you to the last station in the list. RE: 4 finger single tap bug?
Hi, There are all sorts of easy ways to find a particular book in the Audible app. If you wan to go to the very first book you bought, all you have to do is touch the '"Now Playing" button which is right above the home key, then swipe left once and there you are. I am not saying there is room for improvement in iOS 7, but some things can more easily or just as easily be done using a different method. Hello, Yes. I have the same behavior on my iPad mini. It doesn’t seem to effect the iPhone though. Its probably the most annoying bug for me in IOS 7 actually.
