Re: A Frustration with Gmail

2013-06-25 Thread David Chittenden
On the iPhone, move any message from the spam folder to the inbox folder to
tell the system that that email's characteristics is not spam. Eventually, you
should get all the messages to tag as not spam.

Re: A Frustration with Gmail

2013-06-24 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I wouldn't think we're talking about a service provider here. I don't
think a service provider could move a message into your personal Spam
folder. The service provider could be doing something like adding
"spam:" to the subject line though. Is that happening in this case?

I would think your best options are to move the message out of your spam
folder, say into your in box. or marking it as not spam. Either of these
actions should train Gmail that these messages are not spam.

I'm not sure how you would address the spam filter issue at the server end,
especially from your iDevice.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, as this is becoming quite

Re: A Frustration with Gmail

2013-06-24 Thread Penny Reeder
Go into your SPAM folder. When you find a message that is incorrectly
labeled "SPAM," check the check box and then choose the control, "Not
SPAM." That will teach GMail that messages from this list are not
SPAM. HTH and Hope this works !

Hello Keith, I wonder if you've tried to mark them as not spam? Every once in a
while I get one that will pop itself into the spam folder and I won't go there
