Subject: A Question for iOS / iPad OS CBS All Access Subscribers

Hello All,

I am prepared to sign up for a CBS All Access streaming subscription for use
with my Apple devices. However, I seem to be encountering a strange
inconsistency that I do not understand.

I want to sign up for the service because I was lead to believe that the 1970s
television series, Fantasy Island, is on offer.

However, when I search for the show on one device, I see that it is, in fact,
offered, however, when I search on another device, the show is nowhere to be
found.

So, to those of you who are subscribed to CBS All Access:

1.
Is the show available for steaming on any of your Apple devices?

2.
Is there a customer service telephone number one can call in order to confirm
what shows are currently available on CBS All Access? Again, I have downloaded
the app on several devices but ...

3.
Just so you know: QUOTE: Fantasy Island is an American fantasy drama
television series created by Gene Levitt. It aired on the ABC television
network from 1977 to 1984. The series starred Ricardo Montalbán as the
mysterious Mr. Roarke. END QUOTE.

You see, I do not want to sign up for the service is the series is not, in
fact, available for streaming.

4.
One more thing, if the show is not available on CBS All Access, does anyone
know from which, if any, streaming service it may be streamed? I have searched
and searched and, for whatever reason, it is nowhere to be found except for the
references to CBS All Access as it was initially distributed by Columbia
broadcasting.

Wow, Chris!

Thank you so much.

I will take a look, immediately.

Clearly, your research skills are superior to my own as I spent over 2 hours on
this, yesterday and wound up at a dead-end.

As I said, I will check into Crackle; and hopefully, there, I will find,
"Fantasy Island."

I am assuming that if a channel is offered through Apple, it will have some
kind of VoiceOver accessibility.

I don't want to stray too far off-topic but I am dismayed that with all of this
technology, there is not a service that will allow one to truly customize the
streaming experience.

For example, I am currently subscribed to YouTube TV. While I am relatively
happy with the service, I am paying for about 30 or so channels which I will
never watch while there are several channels that I want that are not offered
on YouTube TV.

People talk about going cordless but until we, as consumers, can select only
the channels we want in a single subscription package, the cordless experience
will never be my first option.

Okay, stepping down off of my proverbial soapbox, now (smile).

RE: A Question for iOS / iPad OS CBS All Access Subscribers

2020-10-12 Thread chaltain
There are plenty of shows where I do appreciate the described video, like
Bosch, Ozark, The Expanse, ..., but there are also shows that I still enjoy
that don't have any described video, like the old Star Trek series or Columbo.

Hello Christopher,

You ask an interesting question.

While I would never pass up an opportunity to enjoy audio described content,
that feature is not required for my current endeavor.

I would be able to enjoy the series, with or without audio description.

Thank you for the follow-up.

I'm not sure about a support number for CBS All Access, but they do have an

A Question for iOS / iPad OS CBS All Access Subscribers

2020-10-12 Thread M. Taylor
Hello All,

I am prepared to sign up for a CBS All Access streaming subscription for use
with my Apple devices. However, I seem to be encountering a strange
inconsistency that I do not understand.

I want to sign up for the service because I was lead to believe that the
1970s television series, Fantasy Island, is on offer.

However, when I search for the show on one device, I see that it is, in
fact, offered, however, when I search on another device, the show is nowhere
to be found.

So, to those of you who are subscribed to CBS All Access:

1.
Is the show available for steaming on any of your Apple devices?

2.
Is there a customer service telephone number one can call in order to
confirm what shows are currently available on CBS All Access? Again, I have
downloaded the app on several devices but ...

I have
searched and searched and, for whatever reason, it is nowhere to be found
except for the references to CBS All Access as it was initially distributed
by Columbia broadcasting.

Mark
