Re: Apple Pay Help Please.
Hey Janet, Just a simple question for you… Have you gone into the Face ID and Passcode section in settings and made sure that Face ID is turned on for Apple Pay? This might solve the entire issue with Face ID not working for you. I hope this solves a small piece of the puzzle. Sieghard, That is exactly what I am trying to do, finding out if face id is even working. I've asked Apple, I'm asking on this list as well. I called my bank today, and they say there is no reason why face id shouldn't be working with Apple Pay. Although, the bank did advise me not to have my card information on the phone unless face id is working. They also advised me to contact Apple to let them know face id isn't working with Apple pay, but I've been there and done that, and still no go! Do you have any suggestions how I can find out what might be wrong with face id, or what I might be doing wrong? Thank you. It will however let me select all of the others. I’m puzzled with this one. I would suggest restarting your phone by pressing the volume up and then the volume down buttons in rapid fire action and then holding the power button for about 10-12 seconds. This will clear the system cash and it might fix some of the little gremlins that have appeared. I hope this helps and let us know if you have found a solution. Janet, This is Mark. May I suggest that you contact the issueing bank of the card, in question? It may be that there has been a change to the terms of service or something else that is affecting your Apple Pay experience. Currently, I only have 1 card on file with Apple Pay and, as in all cases, that card is authorized to work with Apple Pay. If someone else has already made this suggestion, then I apologize for the redundancy. So often I find it much simpler to pick up the phone and call the companies in question, in order to resolve problems, than to engage in what can sometimes seem like endless online research. Re: Apple Pay Help Please.
Hey Janet, I kind of see what you’re talking about with ApplePay not allowing you to select a specific card. If you simply don’t want to use the default card it will not let you. I however am seeing it will allow me to utilize all but one card for payment. I have the Apple Card set up as my default payment card. A Wells Fargo Credit Card, Wells Fargo Debit Card, and Apple Cash showing up as options. It will not let me select the Wells Fargo Credit Card as my Payment option. Re: Apple Pay Help Please.
I anticipated this problem with setting up multiple cards. I decided to only use a debit card from one financial institution with Apple Pay to prevent configuration problems. Also, if I accidentally used a credit card to make a person to person transaction, I could be charged a fee compared to being free with a debit card. I would suggest removing one payment method and seeing what happens. If that does not work, then remove all cards and load just one card and see if it then is operational. If that does not work, consider restoring after all cards have been removed. Apple Pay Help Please.
Hi Everyone, I have my Visa credit card linked to Apple Pay, and it has been like that for several months, but I decided I wanted to add my debit card as well, and that I did do, and it showed up in Apple Pay for about a week until I tried to use it in the store, and I couldn't find the debit card in Apple Pay though. I checked the Payment and Shipping on my phone, it shows my credit card as the default, but doesn't show my debit card like it used to, so I tap on add payment method to see if I need to add it again, but even though, it shows up only in the wallet, it shows as unchecked, so I tap on it to check it, and I press the done button, and once again, I look at the debit card, and sure enough it is once again showing up as unchecked. I also had Apple Cash set up, and now it is also showing up as unchecked, and if I tap on it, and press the done button, and check it again, it is showing up as unchecked. I would like my debit and my credit card to show up in the Apple Pay screen so when I make a purchase, I can choose witch card I want to use. My face id also doesn't work when I use Apple Pay. Although, I do have face id turned on for Apple Pay. Any Thoughts? I am using Xr iPhone with the latest iOS. Thank you all!
