There should be material on www.applevis.com. Just go there, type "apple tv"
into the search box, and see what you find. I know there is at least one
podcast and a review, and probably more besides.

2014-03-08 Thread Larry Lumpkin
I'm afraid I've seen no tvs that I would call accessible. I just got a
relatively cheap one from wal-mart ($150 or so). I believe the minimum
resolution you need to get is 720 p.

I don't know of a podcast but there is a Take Control book about Apple TV
and it includes voiceover information.

I don't want to sidetrack this thread but I have a question related to Apple
TV; it might be a little offtopic so if you want to reply privately, that is
fine. I am considering getting Apple TV but I need to get a tv to go with it
as I haven't had a tv in years. My opportunities to go out shopping are
somewhat limited so I may have to order from Amazon. I know this is a pretty
individual thing as far as preferences, but can anybody give me a suggestion
as to what to buy? I do sometimes have sighted visitors so I want decent
picture but my main concern is sound. I like good full sound and I do like
good bass but not the kind of bass that tends to make things sound more
muffled because I do like a clear, somewhat bright sound but the bass would
give it depth. Again, I know this is a matter of individual taste but
recommendations would be appreciated: the more specific the better. It would
be nice to go somewhere and listen to a bunch of tvs but often they end up
sounding different at home than in the store anyway. I haven't decided
definitely to do this as I have managed hapily without a tv for several
years now but I am considering it.

I also want to know whether people are happy with using Apple TV and a TV
without any cable subscription as I know some offerings do require a cable
subscription.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash!
Then God gave me a new heart and life:
His joy for my despairing tears!
And now, every day:
"This I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord
never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."

Some of these others might require subscriptions, but I don't use many of
