Moderator's response regarding Braille Touch, Maybe Its Own List?

2013-02-02 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi Joe and everyone else, the discussion of Braille Touch, while
generating a lot of traffic, is very much on topic for the list. In
fact, as others have pointed out, that's what this list is for. You can
set filters to weed out Braille Touch discussions, or wait it out and
eventually it will settle down. I think what will help is if list
members take my prior suggestions I made several days ago. These
suggestions are good to follow all the time, but I think people may need
reminders.

1. Read through all messages first. This way you don't answer a question
which has already been answered. This will greatly help cut down on list
traffic because there will not be 10 answers to one question.

2. Read all messages before posting your own question. Chances are,
someone else has already posted the very same question you have, and
that question has already been answered.

3. Specifically to Braille Touch, read its documentation. View the web
site, and read list archives. Considering how much traffic this new app
has generated, I can guarantee that your questions have already been
discussed on list, or their answers are available from their web site.

Thanks all for reading.

I agree there's been a lot of list traffic, but I'm not sure it's any
different than any time a new product is announced. I haven't purchased
this app, but I don't mind using my delete key and taking advantage of
my email clients threaded or conversation mode to quickly delete all
messages in a thread.
