In my case, I had no choise. I enjoy very much reading the Stagecoach series by Hank Mitchum. The only way I could read three of these books was to back translate three of these books from NLS that were in the brf format. Re: Braille to speech apps?
When I bought the app, it did say that it would work with bard books. That's all I know. That's the reason why I got the app. Now, I can't get any help, and I paid $14.95 Plus tax, for this app, and now it doesn't work. And Apple won't give me back the money, and I understand, I've had over 30 days, but I can't get any response from the creator. It says it still and other app stores, just not in the US App Store. I'm on a fixed income, so I was excited to be able to have this app. I bought this app in the summer, so it's not that old. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to forget about it. If someone can help me, that would be great. Sorry that I rented. Exactly. But at this point, nothing will do that on the iDevices. The specialized players like the victor reader stream and booksense will read brf files from NLS. I’ve been using a program called Win Bt to back translate brf files from NLS to text. I’ve found some books I could not find on Bookshare or as a Kindle book. From: Richard Turner Sent: Sunday, December 11, 2016 6:21 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Braille to speech apps? RE: Braille to speech apps?
Here is a link to an article about the Voice Braille Reader, but I am doubtful it is available at this point, but check it out; http://www.afb.org/forum/technology-talk/introducing-voice-braille-reader-to-ios-users/12 It is not on the AppleVis Hall of Fame site, which is where a Google Search also took me. Hi Tim, I was going to send you a link to the app, but I got a message saying it's not available to share. It was quite expensive; I'll bet not enough people bought it. Re: Braille to speech apps?
Hi Tim, There is only one app that can read braille files aloud, as far as I know. It's called Voice Braille Reader. Braille to speech apps?
Sent from my iPhoneGuys, I have a curious question. Since I'm reading more with my phone, I'm looking to find an app that will translate braille to speech, like voicedream, but for braille files or documents. I dont Voicedream will translate them, not sure if read2Go would either, but looking for something on the iPhone that will translate braille to text so something like Voicedream will read them. Thanks for any help you can give. Take care and talk soon. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
