Hi, Connie. I've been using an iPhone 5 with an Otterbox defender and I'm constantly accessing the headphone jack to either plug in external speakers or headphones. So far I haven't had an issue with the case except for the flap over the headphone port not closing unless I give it a good push. But this is also true for the lightening cable port. I've had the phone and the case for just over four months with pretty much daily use. I've also had no problem with the phone switching from the ear piece to speaker when I move it away or toward me or using either camera for that matter. The Otterbox is a tad expensive and not the most stylish, but for someone on the go or accident prone, it's a good insurance. I'm using the advanced screen protector from speed dots, and it goes on top of the screen protector built into the Otterbox case. I haven't had difficulty with gestures that I can directly attribute to the case or the protector. I'm just the kind of person who doesn't get some of the multi finger gestures right away. Hello Connie, it all depends on what are you wanting to do Walby iPhone 5 is in the case. What are you going to be a will to especially plug big pairs of headphones in the case area phone jack or if you're wanting to have a waterproof or you can take it swimming. What the life proof case you can you can plug I think that you had the long extension cord and that was the first case I had on my iPhone 5. I have not recently went to the commuter series OtterBox I have enjoyed it so far only had it for about three weeks. I am very very happy that I can plug in my Bose headphones without having to plug in a long extension cord they would have to stick out of my pocket in order for me to use my Apple meet my Bose headphones. Hi, thanks for your replies. I don't really want to get a boxwave, I have been put off them by all the negative comments I read about version 1 of there keyboard. Though I heard they improved it with later versions, I guess I will wait and see if nuu release any form of keyboard. I would check both mono price.com and cellphoneshop.net. They have cheap and really good quality stuff. Both have sent me advertisements for the 5 so its worth checking out. Hi list, Just wondering has anyone read any information about keyboard cases for the iPhone 5? I haven't come across anything as of yet.
