Descriptive Video on Amazon Prime?

Hi, sorry, just catching up with emails.

I tried to get something out of Amazon via Twitter, as they are sometimes more 
willing to reply because of the public nature of the communication. They just 
didn’t understand the problem. It’s the Kindle thing all over again.

Oddly enough, I have a sighted friend who lives in India for much of the year 
and she negotiated a substantial discount on her Prime membership because she 
wasn’t able to take advantage of various of the Prime features. If they can’t 
be bothered to provide us with described video content, maybe they should give 
us a discount too ?

I suppose if they ever did respond to this, they would come up with some 
mendacious reason why it isn’t technically possible. Doesn’t seem to stop 
Netflix and hooray for them.

Also, for listers in the US, any chance the FCC could get stuck into this as an 
issue? That was the only thing that got Amazon moving on Kindle.

Hi, good luck with that. I’ve so far not seen any descriptive video on amazon 
Prime. When I inquired as to the possibility of offering it in the future, all 
I got was a standard canned message stating that my email would be forwarded to 
their accessibility team. I never receive any sort of response badk from them.

I have asked the question, on more than 1 occasion. But to no joy!

9 times out of 10, my call gets routed over seas, and i end up, pulling my hair 
out, trying to make myself understood.

subscribed movies, who knows if that person knew what they were talking about. 
You should hear the run around I get from Verizon's out sourced persons who 
field incoming calls. When I finally get put through to a repair person or tell 
a technician what I've been told and about how much time I've wasted with the 
useless and rote solutions given me, they laugh.

Is there a reason while Amazon as the vendor would not find it worth it to them 
or their customers to make audio described movies available?
