The file should download to your default download folder, or you should be
asked where to save it.

A dropbox question.

Good morning! I just installed dropbox on my iPhone. I noticed that the up load 
videos button is turned off. I try double tapping on this to turn it on and 
nothing happens. I am going to need to upload a video to dropbox this weekend 
to send to my guy dog school. Is there a setting that I need to change so that

Hi,

It is possible not to sync certain folders with specific devices. I did this 
last summer. However, I needed sighted help to configure Dropbox to do this 
from my Mac. I don't know whether the PC version is more accessible.

Not that I'm aware of it.
It is possible when you grant access to your dropbox account to an other app to 
specify if it gets access to the whole dropbox or just an app specific folder 
but that's as close to what you're saying that I can think of.
Again, I'm not sure 100%.

I haven't done what I'm about to advise here, but I do understand that since 
I suspect you have all of your devices using the same account the assumption 
is made that you'll want access to all of that account's data.  You may 
consider creating an alternative DropBox account for your iPhone so that it 
will appear to the DropBox management software as if different users are 
involved.  The problem with this approach though is that, if you want your 
iPhone to have access to any of the sub-folders, you'll need to send an 
invitation to your iPhone account e-mail authorizing said access.

My understanding is that you can do this in the Pro account, but last time I 
checked it wasn’t accessible. 
 I know they were supposedly working on it though and someone with a Pro

What is your computer, a PC or a Mac? If it's a PC, are you running Windows?

You can get DropBox from https://www.dropbox.com/ and click on the 
downloads link.

This is off-topic but I thought I should tell you. Microsoft is no longer going 
to support windows XP starting next spring. This means that the security 
patches will not be downloaded. It is strongly advised that you upgrade to 
Windows 7 or Windows 8. The hackers are already lining up to invade windows XP.

OK, I have a PC, and I run Ubuntu. When I go to the downloads link on 
dropbox.com, it takes me to the Linux downloads for dropbox. If you're 
running Windows XP it should take you to the windows downloads for 
DropBox. Maybe someone else running Windows could give you more specific 
details.

Go to this link to get the Dropbox Desktop program download for Windows:

There should be an overview of the installation instructions after you
download it. The desktop program is pretty basic. It will set up a Dropbox
folder under your My Documents folder. Files you copy into the Public
subfolder under this folder will automatically be uploaded to the Dropbox
servers.
