No, you do not need two seperate apps. The same phone app which is part of the iPhone operating system will manage both numbers. Thanks, all. I will investigate this and see what I find out. My understanding is that you would essentially have two Phone apps, one associated with each phone number you are using. I imagine it would be similar with messages, and then all other apps would be as expected. And yes, Sieghard is correct--VOIP is not an option for what I need, especially as I'd like to keep my personal number, and work has already assigned me a phone number. Let's face it, I doubt we'll still have any physical SIM cards at some point in the future, I have no idea when this will happen, but it makes sense to me since it would greatly simplify things and think of the billions of SIM cards, tiny as they are, eventually ending up as another piece of plastic in a landfill, a river or an ocean. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Cristobal Muñoz Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2019 10:53 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Dual sym card capability? I seem to recall this being a feature in the iPhone 11 onward, but didn't know if anyone had actually tried it. It's a feature I have high hopes for, as I'd prefer to use one device for both work and personal use, while maintaining different phone numbers and such.
