Re: Fleksy Keyboard Makes Its Way To iOS Through Third-Party Apps
Right. You do one of the angle gestures, you find the suspend talkback thing, you do that then hopefully you're back in Fleksy. You use Fleksy. And I suppose you turn the screen often on to get talkback back. And you go on about your business. If people want to do that, that's great. All I'm saying is, when saying that something can be done on a different system it's good to know all the steps so people won't make apples and oranges comparisons. The assumption you make is that everybody loves the app. Personally, I didn't. Just something else to learn how to use. I already know how to type and don't want to have to learn yet another way. And so somebody else comes up with the newest gee-wiz app and are we then expected to learn that too because somebody thinks it's cool for the blind? Re: Fleksy Keyboard Makes Its Way To iOS Through Third-Party Apps
I don't see anyone making the assumption that everyone loves Fleksy or that anyone who doesn't want to should have to learn Fleksy. No one, as far as I can tell, is proposing that Apple dump it's virtual keyboard and replace it with Fleksy. All I see hear is that people who do like Fleksy can make it the default keyboard in some of their apps and maybe in IOS in the future. Again, this is just adding more flexibility and choices to IOS and IOS apps. I don't see anything wrong with more choice and flexibility, and I don't see an issue with people liking and choosing to use Fleksy. I don't use dictation very often, but I don't think you're telling me I should use it just because you think it's cool. I especially love the Fleksy keyboard app a lot. Nothing wrong in having the vest choice. Fleksy had taken the right direction and who knows in a future date it may be merged with ios! So in one sense, I needed to learn all different dot commands, but it has been well worth it. About 90'% of the time, I can directly input and access the major functions on the phone. I found the text editor that can use the Fleksy keyboard. It is called Wordbox. Nevermind… the Wordbox app is useless. None of the buttons are labeled. I am going to go through it and label the buttons. I'll report back later. Do not waste your money on Word Box. The buttons are not labeled and I can not re label them. I will write to the developers. I activated the Fleksy keyboard on my blind square app. It works well with the search function. Chuck -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group.
