Re: Good News: Apple Will Not Kill iTunes for Windows Just Yet

2019-06-06 Thread Arlene
Arnold, If itunes goes away there's a program you could get, it's something
like itunes since it does iphone and ipad. It will let you make backups and
will let you transfer from your phone to your computer, and the other way
around, from your computer to phone, that even includes something new on
your computer. This program is shareware and it's inexpensive to purchase
and it's called imazing, and it's very accessible, the web site for imazing
is

https://imazing.com/

There's probably other simular solutions , but this one might be worth
checking out.

We will always need some way to transfer music from a computer to our
devices. I am a huge fan of Apple Music, and couldn't imagine not having a
subscription, it has revolutionized the way I deal with music. But although
they are getting better, they still do not have everything in the ITunes
Music store on Apple Music, and there is still quite a bit not even in the
ITunes store. So buying it from some other source, then transferring it from
the computer is the only way to get it to the device. I guess that is what I
get for loving all that so-called weird jazz.

I also use iTunes to transfer music to my iPhone. Everyone talks about
streaming services, but streaming is not possible on an airplane and
Internet service will be interrupted on a train going through a tunnel. I
carry around hundreds of albums on my iPhone.

RE: Good News: Apple Will Not Kill iTunes for Windows Just Yet

2019-06-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
iTunes is what it is, for the most part it is largely unnecessary for most
iPhone users, the only task I still use it for is to sync ringtones to my
iPhone and that is easy. As for getting rid of it, it may sound like a good
idea, but I wonder how you feel if it were replaced by the same 3 apps which
will be introduced on the Mac and if these apps will be Windows 10 UWP apps
available from the Windows Store and if said apps were not accessible at all or
offered extremely poor accessibility in Windows. The current version of iTunes
may not seem so awful then.

I think this is horrible news. iTunes is an awful piece of software
particularly in Windows. I hope they will kill it very soon.
