Re: In My Iphone5, Speech rate Gets Doubled When Changing Language On Rotor
Actually, this did not change with iOS 8. Different speech engines are set with differing standard point speeds. I became aware of this in iOS 7 when I installed multiple english voices and experimented with them. Fortunately, in iOS 8 at least, one can easily adjust the speech rate. Hi Anne, It may be the fact that the second language that you are using is more sensative. I have played with different languages and have found that the Spanish language as a second languageis more sensitive compared to the other Irish and Australian voices to where I have to set the Spanish speech to 50% under settings, general, accessibility, voiceover, speech, Spanish more info to be the equivalent of the United States English default voice.
