I have only had this problem with incoming calls that are automated messages to
ask you to press a number on the number pad to confirm an appointment. The
number pad is not visible in this situation.

Re: KeyPad Not in Focus After Placing Phone Call

2020-12-07 Thread Steve Matzura
I had the same problem when I received a call but was required to press
a button to be connected. Sounds like a spam thing, but it was perfectly
aboveboard for the kind of call it was. I was trying to get in touch
with a delivery person who gave me the wrong package, and the way it's
done is you request help from the delivery service, and then you press a
button that says "Connect me to ..." the name of the person who
delivered to you. When you do that, your phone rings and you're required
to answer the call and press 1. I'll make this change and hopefully
it'll solve my problem next time. Frankly, I hope there won't be a "next
time". LOL.

2020-12-02 Thread Mike B
Hi Holly,

In playing around making phone calls this afternoon to numbers that I knew
wouldn't answer, I think that if I just make sure to unlock the screen
before making a call everything will be fine. Just an adjustment whether
it's phone change issue or an iOS update issue doesn't matter, it's still an
adjustment that needed to be made.

Yes, I found out the hard way about that key above the delete key on my
Logitech K-380! LOL LOL

Although, when I am using my wireless apple magic keyboard, there is a key

not be applicable in your case either.

Good luck!

Hello Mike,
After placing the call with Siri using the Bluetooth headset, there is
a call in progress button that should be at the top right of your
screen. Double tapping on that button always makes the KeyPad visible
to me everytime.

It shouldn’t matter if the screen is locked or unlocked,

I make calls using siri and the phone is normally locked.

But if you touch the screen to wake it or press the home button,

The keypad comes up,

Note though that this is a similar sounding issue to what I had / have in
similar situations

So possibly it’s a IOS version issue.

mentioned devices, whether it's in my contacts or not, the phone call is
completed but, the keypad is not in focus. So, I go to the, Phone icon,
then, KeyPad but, after activating the KeyPad you can't press a number to
activate a prompt. It's like the KeyPad is dead.

An example is, I had to call the blood lab but, I needed to activate the, #7
prompt, but when I pressed the, #7 prompt, the KeyPad made no sound telling
me the prompt had been pressed.

I fumbled around and finally got the KeyPad functioning but, I'm not sure
how I did it!

Can someone tell me a way, or what to do to make the KeyPad always
functionable when calling using a bluetooth device? All help is greatly
appreciated. Thanks mooy moocho.

Stay safe and take care. Mike.

Mike:

Do you have the speaker enabled when you take the phone away from your ear?
If so, make sure the phone is far enough away from your ear when you try to
activate the keypad.

This happened to me once when I had the phone on the desk, but my ear was
too close to the phone and the keypad wouldn’t show.

Just a shot in the dark.

RE: KeyPad Not in Focus After Placing Phone Call

2020-12-02 Thread Simon A Fogarty
It shouldn’t matter if the screen is locked or unlocked,

I make calls using siri and the phone is normally locked.

But if you touch the screen to wake it or press the home button,
The keypad comes up,

Note though that this is a similar sounding issue to what I had / have in
similar situations

So possibly it’s a IOS version issue.

Something I noticed was that this setting is for an unlocked screen. So, I
usually keep my screen locked when out and about. Would the fix then be to
unlock the screen before making a call via Siri to avoid this KeyPad issue?

2020-12-02 Thread Shai
Hello Mike,
After placing the call with Siri using the Bluetooth headset, there is
a call in progress button that should be at the top right of your
screen. Double tapping on that button always makes the KeyPad visible
to me everytime.

KeyPad Not in Focus After Placing Phone Call

2020-12-02 Thread Mike B
Hi All,

Running an SE 2020 with iOS 14.2 and a bluetooth earpiece / or Trekz Air
headset.

Whenever i tell Siri to call a phone number via one of the previously
mentioned devices, whether it's in my contacts or not, the phone call is
completed but, the keypad is not in focus.

Mike.
