Moving apps out of folders on the home screem.
Hi everyone! I had two apps in a folder on the home screen, the libby app and the overdrive app. I kept the overdrive app until it was discontinued at the beginning of may. I then deleted the overdrive app. I hoped that deleting one of the apps in the folder would take the folder away, but that turned out not to be the case. I started to remove the folder but voiceover said that the libby app would be moved to the app library, and I want it to stay where it is just without being in a folder. So how do I remove the folder without removing the app from its position on the home screen? -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. RE: Moving apps out of folders on the home screem.
I'm not testing it in the moment, but my experience has been that if there's only one app left in a folder the folder will disappear on the home screen and just be replaced by the single app. Maybe it no longer behaves this way, but that is what I do recall, so my recollection agrees with yours. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) =>÷ Chaltain at Outlook, USA -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Barbara Stahl Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2023 11:55 AM To: Viphone Subject: Moving apps out of folders on the home screem. Well, I deleted the overdrive app and the folder did not disappear so they must have changed that behavior which is really disappointing. <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free.www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> On Sat, May 13, 2023 at 5:11 PM Christopher Chaltain wrote: > I'm not testing it in the moment, but my experience has been that if > there's only one app left in a folder the folder will disappear on the home > screen and just be replaced by the single app. Maybe it no longer behaves > this way, but that is what I do recall, so my recollection agrees with > yours. > > -- > Christopher (AKA CJ) =>÷ > Chaltain at Outlook, USA > > -Original Message- > From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of > Barbara Stahl > Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2023 11:55 AM > To: Viphone > Subject: Moving apps out of folders on the home screem. > > Hi everyone! RE: Moving apps out of folders on the home screem.
Just move it out of the folder the same way you move apps, open the folder and start editing mode, select to drag the Libby app, then close the folder with a scrub gesture and drop the Libby app wherever you want it on the home screen. RE: Moving apps out of folders on the home screem.
Just move the app out of the folder to your home screen, remove all of the other apps in your folder, so it disappears, and then move your app into the location you want. I’d move the app right before the folder and then delete everything in the folder, that should give you what you want. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) =>÷ Chaltain at Outlook, USA From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Barbara Stahl Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2023 9:15 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Moving apps out of folders on the home screem.
