RE: Newest iPhone with a physical home button.

2021-04-11 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
All iPhones have both front and rear cameras and I always say the matter of
storage is entirely a personal choice, you know what you have now and whether
are running low on space or not. If you are like me and you don't download
music to your phone or have maybe hundreds or, as I hear is the case with some
people, have thousands of apps, there may be little reason to spend more just
to have more storage. I have always had 64 Gb phones because I only use about
half of that right now on my iPhone 11 and that has about 500 pictures and 50
or 60 short videos on it and I actually have to spend some time and clean that
up because I assume most of those could go. I have I think 78 apps and I
download Audible books usually anywhere from 2 to 4 or 5 at a time, I don't see
a point why I should have all of my almost 900 Audible books downloaded to my
phone since I can download any of them any time if I feel like listening to it
again. If I listen to music on my phone which is rare I stream it via my Apple
Music subscription. I prefer to listen to music at home either on my Sonos
system or, if I am in the mood and have time, on my old high-end stereo system
downstairs where it is properly set up in its own room. I have a feeling when
the next series of iPhones come out this fall that 128 Gb maybe the starting
point and that 64 Gb will disappear or maybe it will still be available on
whatever older models are kept like the SE 2020 or iPhone 11, but I wouldn't
spend $100 more for storage I know I won't ever use. Only you yourself knows if
you need it or not.

Best regards,
Sieghard

I use my iPhone SE 2ND Gen a lot and I sometimes can go about 10 hours between

I would say 8 hours is solid.
It blows the iPhone 8 out of the water for performance. Not to mention it has
the same water resistance as the 11.

It just came out a year ago, so it is easily the best phone with a home button
unless you have to have the larger screen that the 11 has.

MY only regret after a year is that I did not buy the 256 GB phone, but the 128
GB.
I have a ton of music and seem to be adding more and more stuff.
Time to delete things.
But, it is a great phone.

I would recommend though, wait and see what the 13 offers this fall.
Unless you need a phone now.

See if they bring back any kind of finger sensor.

Here is some info about the iPHone SE 2020, or as Apple calls it the SE 2nd
Generation.

It came out after the iPHone 11, so it has the same chip as the 11 and the same
camera processing, though with only one camera, which is all you need for blind
applications like OCR, Object recognition and good basic picture taking.

I use my iPhone SE 2ND Gen a lot and I sometimes can go about 10 hours between
charges.

Interesting, do you know what the battery life is compared to an iPhone 8?
I usually charge my 8 every night because the apps I run seem to take a lot of
battery.

Its camera is perfect for things like Seeing AI and other Apps that the
visually impaired need.

It is extremely fast. A lot faster than the iPhone 8. And, since it is
exactly the same size as an iPhone 8, it fits the same cases.

As far as I can tell, its battery is just a bit too small.

I have to charge my SE 2020 once a day. It gets used around 7 to 8 hours every
day.

Its the least expensive iPhone model out there with a small screen and a bunch
of camera features that I will never never, use.

Cheers,

What do you call a regular model?

The iphone SE 2020 is a regular iPhone just built with a chip from the iphone

Yes.

Like all iPhones, there is a front camera and a rear camera.
The larger phones have more than one rear camera.

If you want to really get into taking pictures, I recommend the book, Capturing
The World by Judy Dixon available from National Braille Press. She is blind
and has great tips for learning to take good pictures.

So is the camera on it, front or rear?

Here is some info about the iPHone SE 2020, or as Apple calls it the SE 2nd
Generation.

It came out after the iPHone 11, so it has the same chip as the 11 and the same
camera processing, though with only one camera, which is all you need for blind
applications like OCR, Object recognition and good basic picture taking.

I use my iPhone SE 2ND Gen a lot and I sometimes can go about 10 hours between
charges.

As far as I can tell, its battery is just a bit too small.

I have to charge my SE 2020 once a day. It gets used around 7 to 8 hours every

Its the least expensive iPhone model out there with a small screen and a bunch

Sorry, I don’t. I can tell you that I use Seeing AI a lot and it is a battery
hog.

Maybe your phone is old enough that the battery isn’t holding the same charge
as when it was new.

Maybe some one who has the answer to your question will respond but I have seen
more than just a few mentions stateing that Apple let us down some what on the
iPhone SE 2020 battery life.

RE: Newest iPhone with a physical home button.

2021-04-08 Thread Johna Gravitt
What are the differences between a regular iPhone and the SE Model? Aren’t
there some limitations to what it can do verses a regular model?
I thought I read somewhere that the speed isn’t as fast nor is the camera as
good
