Nook question

2013-07-06 Thread Shane clark
Hello,
When going to the Nook.com Website, and filling out the information before
ordering a book, I'm having difficulty typing in the billing address. All edit
fields come up fine except this oneā€¦ Has anybody encountered this problem about
not being able to enter in the billing address on that edit field, and is there
any workarounds?
Thanks, Shane.

David,
Both Amazon Kindle and Nook allow you to "lend" books. I am not sure how it is
done, but if you go to both of those web sites, you will see that it is a
feature they both have. iBooks does not.

RE: nook Question

2012-12-08 Thread Jesus Garcia
Okay, thank you, but what she is trying to do apparently is not an issue
with lending the book. Barns and Nobles nook customer service attempted to
assist us in the process and according to them I should have received an
email with the link for the lent book. It shows up on her account as lent it
simply shows up nowhere in either my account or in my device within the
library.

And here is one of the problems with the digital copyright schemes. You
cannot lend books. The only current exception I know of is libraries using
overdrive. OverDrive allows libraries to lend out the exact number of books
they have purchased. Whilst the book is in a patron's account, it cannot be
lent to another patron. After the lending period. The patron's account
automatically ceases allowing the borrower access to the book and someone
else can then borrow / access it.
