There is, two ways to access it:

1. Double tap and hold the App Store icon on  your home screen, then select 
"search" from the context menu which comes  up. This puts focus directly into 
the search field and you can start typing. Make sure you don't forget to tap 
the "Search" button at the bottom right of the keyboard. As you type you can 
also touch the screen and find search suggestions, but I find I often have 
better luck typing the name in full and to then tap enter before checking the 
search results.
2. Open the App Store, then double tap on the "search" tab at the very bottom 
right of the screen, then locate where it says "Games, apps, stories and more 
search field" near the top and double tap to get into editing mode so you can 
type.
Once you double tap the search tab on the bottom it is easiest to do a 4-finger 
tap near the top of the screen which puts focus on the first element on the 
screen which is "Search, heading", if you flick right once or twice you should 
be on the search field which you activate by double tapping on it.

Question about app store

I would like to install a couple of apps, but it seems that I don't remember
how.

The last time I found search and I typed the name of the app, and I also
could use dictation, but this time I don't find any search of dictation.

The first time you do this, you will probably have to choose a password. You 
should be able to double-tap Passwords and then select the one for your Apple 
ID. That's assuming you've got iCloud Keychain set up and have entered your 
Apple ID password at some point.

Question about App store on apple watch

When I try to download an app from the app store on the watch I can click get,

Hi Bill,

When you are in the search edit box and have entered your search info hit
enter then go back up to the top left and the first button is cancel than
flick right once and you will hear either iPhone only or iPad only. Double
tap on that and you can change it to iPhone or iPad.  Then when you go to
your first app in the app store it will be that device.  Another words when
I search for a certain app and it is not there I go back to the top and
change it to iPad then go back to the apps and it will be change app for
that device.

Dumb question about app store and iPad

Hi.

For some reason, I can not find the search menu in the App Store for iPad.
There is no search tab at the bottom, and each tab I t ried did not seem to
have a search field I could find.  Can someone suggest where I might look?
