Re: Questions about the echo earbuds
I have no problem letting amazon have access to my phones contacts. I can just tell my echo to call anyone from my phone's contacts, and the call happens easy as you'd want. Very cool in my opinion. I'm more for headphones then bluetooth earbuds, but there are some very interesting choices out there when it comes to earbuds and what kind to get. Re: Questions about the echo earbuds
Oh I totally agree. I only raised my point because this is your phone, not your Amazon device. You can use your Amazon dvices without allowing them to have access to yhour contacts if you so desire. But you can't even install these buds if you don't allow access to your contacts for example. i get why they're doing it, I might be willing, but it's more invasive than other headphones, that's all. If you're already using your Amazon device to make phone calls for example, there'd be no difference and probably convenient to have the phone do it. Re: Questions about the echo earbuds
I don’t want to stimulate a privacy rights debate. However, one could argue if one already has an Amazon device, your privacy has already been penetrated. It is possible to mute the microphone on the earbuds, but then you are sacrificing a basic function of the product. Ultimately, people should decide when and how to spend their money, but as to the original question, they are a very competitive choice when pitted against other brand names, Especially given the current promotion. Re: Questions about the echo earbuds
I have the Echo Buds and am using them with an iPhone SE 2020. They work well. I personally don’t like their bulbous form factor, but this is a highly personal preference thing. They work great with Audible and YouTube and general article reading. Setting them up was a breeze if you have the Amazon Alexa app installed. The whole process was accessible. I have not tried adjusting the EQ, but this is one neat little feature you can’t necessarily do with the AirPods. I should have gone to Amazon before sending my message. It says it needs IOS 12 or later to use them. So yes, they can be used with the S E 2.
