Hi, Flash and torch are the same thing. They are the ca'mera's light and many
apps, including CamFind have three options, off, so the light is never used so
you depend on room or outdoor lighting.
On, so it is on all the time, which is the current setting with AIPoly.
Auto, which lets the sensor in the camera decide if there is enough light to
get a good image.
In the United States, it is usually called flash. I first heard the term torch
used in England.

Re: AIPoly VS CamFind

2016-01-12 Thread Keith B.
I have just a couple of thoughts about Aipoly. I really believe they are on
to something, so I will continue to try to work with them. Most of us can't
remember how terrible OCR was in its beginning days - how even with the
best of programs we were lucky to get 85% recognition. And look where OCR
for the blind is now because we saw the potential, worked with
manufacturers, and refused to give up a dream. That is my personal thinking
about Aipoly.

Now for my frustration. I tried to submit a review on my iPhone 6. I could
rate the program and title the review, but when I got to the writing
section of the review, it completely kicked me out. I tried this on
multiple occasions. I emailed the Aipoly Team but have yet to hear back,
and this was the first day it came out.

If Aipoly truly wants to develop the potential of this app, there has to be
an acceptable way for us to give feedback. I don't do reviews in iTunes
generally, and, when I tried, I got nowhere. So, if anyone from Aipoly is
monitoring this list, some of us believe in you, but you have to find a
convenient way for us to communicate with you. We really are the key to
your success.

RE: AIPoly VS CamFind

2016-01-12 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Richard,

I just Googled “Aipoly Vision” and found their website at www.aipoly.com
<http://www.aipoly.com> . Interestingly enough there seems to be no “Contact
Us”, a link to submit a feedback/support form or an email for support. However,
when I clicked on the “Press” link, I found an email address for press and
interview inquiries. It is t...@aipoly.com <mailto:t...@aipoly.com> . Maybe
supp...@aipoly.com <mailto:supp...@aipoly.com> would work, but I agree that
while it’s nice to see that they are trying to get main stream media coverage,
they should be working closely with the people which the app is intended for. I
guess let’s see if Aipoly is still around in a year or two and how many updates
and improvements it has received.

Regards,

Sieghard

Would you share the email address you have for the AIPoly team?

Also, the problem with submitting reviews is an Apple issue, which I have
reported a couple times to the accessibility team at Apple. I'd suggest
everyone else having issues submitting reviews do the same.

hi Richard,
After my less than stellar experience with a aiPoly vision, together with my
