He needs the money to buy it and yes, this could be accomplished with an iTunes gift card from the Pakistani app store. I believe you asked about it before, but for you there is no way to buy KNFB Reader for him here in the Canadian app store, you can’t buy a Pakastani gift card here or gift him the app. The easiest way would be to just send him the money, then he can buy an iTunes gift card from a place in Pakistan where they are sold, redeem the card so he has account credit and then use it to buy the app. You probably know of ways to send money to Pakistan, Western Union of course is one way although there maybe other less expensive options. What are you actually trying to do? It sounds like you want to buy a gift card for somebody else? If so keep in mind that an iTunes gift card is not the same as an Apple Store gift card. Yes, there is no point sending an iTunes gift card to somebody who does not have an Apple Id, all you can buy with an iTunes gift card are apps, music, movies and so on. If somebody has no iOS device or at least uses iTunes on the computer then then the gift card would be useless. An Apple Store gift card you have to buy at an Apple Store or other place that sells them and they are actual cards and they can be used at an Apple Store where you can apply the amount of the gift card to whatever you purchase. Not if he’s already got an associated method of payment on his iTunes account. Credit or debit card for example. My in-laws in Germany don’t’ have credit cards and weren’t comfortable linking their debit card to iTunes so on the few times they may want to buy something via iTunes or my wife who uses their account for that matter, they just buy an iTunes gift card and add it to their account balance. Even if you have a card on file, you can buy a iTunes gift card and add it and the gift card balance will be used first for whatever purchases you may make. This would be irrelevant if your friend doesn’t have an iTunes account to begin with though. Your friend’s going to have to get a gift card from his country. If you’re in another country, you can’t buy him a gift card to redeem in the country his Apple ID is associated with. If you want to buy an iTunes gift card for somebody in a different country you have to buy a physical card I that country and give it to them, it is not possible to log in to a different country’s app store and buy a gift card there with your Canadian Apple Id and credit card. When you redeem it into your account, it just adds the amount of the card as credit.
